Aquí estoy, tu fiel Helen.
No creías que pudiera cambiar el anuncio de mi llegada, pero debes saber que puedo hacer cualquier cosa para complacerte, mi querido Ned.
Sí, lo has hecho, y he sido muy feliz. Bueno, cariño, debo decirte que soy muy feliz y que estoy progresando muy rápidamente. No espero quedarme en esta esfera mucho tiempo, pues mi amor y mi fe son tan grandes que siento que debo acercarme a la fuente de Dios en las Esferas Celestiales. ¿No parece un sueño de hadas? Pero es todo verdad, y soy muy feliz.
Pronto te escribiré una larga carta, contándote sobre este Gran Amor y cuánto amo a Dios y a ti.
No, no lo harás, porque tú también estás progresando. Quizás no te des cuenta, pero es cierto, y si vinieras ahora, te sorprendería encontrarte en una esfera elevada. Bueno, sé cómo te sientes, pero debes creer que puedo ver tu condición espiritual mejor que tú mismo.
Puede que así sea, pero cuando recibas este Gran Amor en tu corazón en la suficiente abundancia, y ya tienes mucho, tus pecados serán borrados. Esta es la ley de la regeneración; de lo contrario, quien permanece sin este Amor y quien lo recibe estarían en la misma condición, y el Nuevo Nacimiento no tendría sentido. Así que no pienses que este Gran Amor no es suficiente para limpiar el alma de las consecuencias de los pecados de la vida terrenal; y, lo mejor de todo, [este Amor] limpia mientras eres mortal.
Sé que los espiritualistas citan y proclaman la ley de la recompensa o compensación, pero hay una ley superior que la anula; y cuando el Amor, este Amor Divino, entra en el alma de un mortal, la ley de compensación queda eliminada en cuanto al alcance de sus operaciones [the law of compensation is removed from the scope of its working,], pues el Amor es el cumplimiento de la ley. Así que no permitas que ese obstáculo te haga creer que este Gran Amor no es suficiente para eliminar todo pecado y error, y para purificar tu alma a fin de que puedas ser apto para vivir en el reino del Padre y unirte a Él.
No, el Amor es para el pecador más vil, y nadie puede, por un simple acto de restauración, hacerse apto por sí mismo para recibir este Amor Divino. Está esperando tanto para el pecador como para el santo; y aunque tus pecados sean como la grana [scarlet], serán blanqueados como la lana. Quiero decir, que no tendrás que esperar a reparar el daño causado a los mortales antes de que este gran Amor pueda obrar la purificación; de otro modo, ¿de qué sirve que este Gran Amor sea provisto para el hombre? Si primero debe purificarse a sí mismo, ¿qué necesidad hay de la obra del Espíritu Santo?
Tan sólo ora por este Amor y ten fe, y lo recibirás. Dios es quien juzga lo que un hombre deberá realizar para hacer justicia y para brindar resarcimiento [restitution], y cuando Él dice que este Amor Divino, con todo su poder purificador, es para el pecador que lo busca con verdadera fe, ¿quién tiene derecho a decir que el pecador debe primero hacer lo que el hombre considere que es hacer justicia entre sí mismo y su prójimo?
Sé de lo que hablo, pues la experiencia de muchos espíritus redimidos por este Amor demuestra que eran pecadores y no habían ‘pagado hasta el último centavo‘ cuando lo recibieron. Dios es el juez, no los mortales ni los espíritus.
Así pues, mi querido Ned, no permitas que la idea de que debes entregar [render] a cada persona aquello que crees que dicha persona se merece obtener, te impida creer en la misericordia y el Amor del Padre.
Cuánto desearía poder estar contigo un rato en forma humana y contarte cara a cara lo que este gran Amor significa para ti, para mí y para todos nosotros.
Así, querido, créeme cuando te digo que, aunque seas un gran pecador, el Amor del Padre es suficiente para borrar todos tus pecados en cuanto lo recibas. Tal es la ley de este Gran Amor.
La fe y la oración pueden abrir el corazón mismo de las Esferas Celestiales, y el Amor afluirá a tu alma como la avalancha de nieve que, al sentir el calor de los brillantes rayos del sol, se precipita desde las cumbres cuando el invierno se marcha, con su gélida oscuridad y su aliento helado, abriendo paso a otros climas.
El amor no es sólo calidez, sino la misma pasión ardiente del gran depósito álmico de la Divina Esencia de Dios.
No solo poseo este Amor en un alto grado, sino que comprendo que, al ascender a esferas superiores, una abundancia aún mayor aguarda para llenar mi alma con su gran fuego eterno, un fuego muy intenso y libre de todo aquello que causa infelicidad y descontento.
Debo detenerme ya.
Así que, mi querido y amado Ned, ámame como yo te amo y ambos seremos tan felices que el cielo estará con nosotros y en nosotros, incluso mientras escribimos en el entorno terrenal.

Aquí estoy, Helen.
Soy muy feliz porque tengo tanto Amor de Dios en mi corazón que no puedo pensar en nada que tienda a hacerme infeliz.
Sí, mi casa es muy hermosa y estoy encantada con ella. Es de mármol blanco y está rodeada de prados, flores y árboles de diversas clases. La hierba es muy verde, y las flores son preciosas y variadas. Los árboles siempre están frondosos y son de hermosas ramas y hojas. Estoy muy contenta con mi casa, quiero decir, con el edificio. Hay muchos cuadros hermosos en las paredes, que están decoradas con frescos y tapices finos, y los suelos tienen incrustaciones de preciosos mosaicos. Tengo todos los muebles espléndidos que pudiera desear, y mi biblioteca está repleta de libros de todo tipo, especialmente de aquellos que hablan de Dios y de Su amor por el hombre. Estarías en tu salsa si pudieras estar conmigo.
Tengo una música como nunca has oído en la tierra, e instrumentos de diversas clases que estoy aprendiendo a tocar, y canto con toda mi alma a medida que pasan los días. Tengo camas en las que me acuesto, pero nunca duermo. Aquí no necesitamos dormir; sólo descansamos, pues a veces nos cansamos del trabajo y nos sentimos muy revitalizados al tumbarnos en las camas y los sofás, tan cómodos que después de un ratito ya no nos damos cuenta del cansancio.
Sí, y cuando canto pienso en ti, y desearía que pudieras oírme como cuando estaba contigo. Me gusta «La canción que llegó a mi corazón» [«The Song that Reached my Heart«] [ref [2]]; parece que me conecta más contigo que ninguna otra, aunque «Cántame para dormir» [«Sing Me to Sleep«] [ref [2]] es una que disfruto mucho cantando.
Sí, comemos fruta y frutos secos, pero no por hambre, sino porque disfrutamos mucho de su sabor; y bebemos agua pura y dulce, pues nos refresca mucho cuando estamos algo cansados. No, nuestra fruta no es del tipo terrestre; es mucho más deliciosa, tanto que no puedo describírtela. Y los frutos secos también son diferentes. Sí, el agua es más pura que la que tenéis, y más refrescante.
No, nuestros instrumentos no son como los de la tierra; no son instrumentos de cuerda, sino que se tocan con nuestros pensamientos de bondad y amor. No usamos los dedos ni los pulmones, sino solo pensamientos, y si son puros y amorosos, nuestra música es muy bella y no disuena.
Sí, lo estoy [suponemos que aquí Helen responde a que está en esa casa cuando…], cuando duermes o te ocupas de algo al hilo de tu trabajo; entonces no me necesitas y soy libre de irme. No creas que no soy libre de irme cuando estoy contigo, pues lo soy, y vengo a ti por mi propia voluntad; pero el amor me obliga, y en ese aspecto no soy libre ni quiero serlo. Tu amor por mí es lo más grande del mundo, después del amor de Dios, y sin él sería muy infeliz. No sabes cuán necesario es tu amor para mi felicidad; y nunca debes dejar de amarme, pues si no, no disfrutaré tanto de mi hogar ni del mundo espiritual. Sí, lo sé, pero a veces temo que olvides pensar en mí, como quiero que lo hagas.
Sí, es permanente, y la casa, los árboles y las flores son para mí más reales que las casas, los árboles y las flores en la tierra; no son sombras como crees, sino que son tan sustanciales que nunca se deterioran ni envejecen.
Sí, ya he elegido una para ti, y la haré tan hermosa que te preguntarás cómo he podido hacerlo; habrá tanto amor en ella que no habrá lugar para nada que no esté en armonía con mi amor, y te darás cuenta de que tu Helen te ama con todo el amor que un alma puede tener por su alma gemela.
Sí, estaremos juntos en todos los sentidos, y solo nos separaremos mientras realizamos algo de la obra de Dios. Estarás conmigo en todos mis pensamientos y yo contigo en los tuyos. El amor nos mantendrá unidos por toda la eternidad.
Sí, amaremos a nuestros padres e hijos tanto como en la tierra, pero no necesitarán tanto nuestro amor, pues tendrán sus propias almas gemelas que los amarán. Los visitaremos y ellos nos visitarán, y disfrutaremos de su compañía incluso más que cuando estábamos en la tierra. Nos amarán mucho, pero el amor que hace de dos almas una sola, existirá solo para las almas gemelas. El Amor de Dios no interferirá con eso; me refiero a nuestro amor por Dios. Es de una naturaleza distinta a nuestro amor mutuo, y es de una naturaleza más espiritual y Santa.
Me alegra mucho ver que cada día recibes más de Su Amor en tu corazón, y pronto realizarás la tarea que el Maestro te ha encomendado.
Sí, estoy intentando ascender a los planos superiores, y espero hacerlo lo más rápido posible, pero puedes estar seguro de que, sin importar en qué plano me encuentre, mi amor por ti no disminuirá, y seguiré estando contigo como ahora. La vida en las esferas superiores sin ti no estaría completa; eres indispensable para mi felicidad plena. Dios ha decretado que dos almas gemelas estén destinadas a formar una sola persona, y que, para ser plenamente felices y cumplir las leyes de Su Amor, han de vivir juntas para siempre como una sola.
Sí, lo sé, porque se lo pregunté a tu abuela y me lo contó. En la tierra puedes progresar tan rápido como yo aquí, si permites que el Amor de Dios entre en tu corazón tan plena y abundantemente como yo lo hago; y lo puedes hacer así, si tan solo oras al Padre. Él no requiere que el hijo que tiene bajo Su cuidado se encuentre en el mundo espiritual para poder desarrollar su alma. Es la misma alma la que ahora tienes que la que tendrás cuando vengas aquí, y si permites que Dios la llene de Su Amor mientras estás en la tierra, ¿por qué no habría de progresar tanto como aquí? Dios no pretende esperar a que vengas aquí para darte el pleno gozo de Su Espíritu Santo; todo depende de ti. Si buscas Su Amor con sinceridad y verdad, lo recibirás en la tierra con la misma facilidad que tras desprenderte el cuerpo. El Amor de Dios que entra en el alma de una persona no depende de si está en la carne o en el espíritu. Todas las almas deben responder por los pecados cometidos en el cuerpo, pero no es necesario que tales penalizaciones se paguen en el mundo espiritual; puedes pagar la pena mientras estás en la tierra. Tal como siembres, eso cosecharás, pero la cosecha no necesariamente se da aquí.
Si buscas con fervor la gracia y el Amor de Dios, puedes obtenerlos en la tierra, y me han dicho que cuando se obtienen en la tierra, mayor será el progreso del espíritu al llegar al más allá. Así que permíteme rogarte que busques estas bendiciones mientras estás en esta vida, y no esperar a que te sean dadas después de entrar en el mundo espiritual.
Tu abuela dice que tuvo esa experiencia, y que cuando llegó aquí, entró en el tercer cielo sin pasar por un período de expiación o purificación en los planos inferiores. Ella posee un espíritu maravillosamente luminoso y puro, muy cercano a Dios, y su alma tiene tanto de Su Amor que su rostro resplandece. Se encuentra en un estado de Amor y paz casi perfectos, aunque afirma aspirar a un plano superior y a una mayor comunión con su Padre Celestial. Ella es quien mejor puede ayudarte en tu progreso espiritual, con la excepción de Jesús, el espíritu más grandioso y glorioso de todos los cielos.
Cultiva pensamientos puros y santos, y pronto comprenderás que el Amor de Dios mora en tu alma de tal manera, que lo sentirás como tu Padre cercano y amado. No dudes de Su Amor, ni de que Él pueda llegar a ti a través del Espíritu Santo, pues éste es Su mensajero de Amor, y jamás se negará a entrar en el corazón y el alma de quien anhela recibirlo mediante la oración sincera y ferviente.
Sé fiel a ti mismo, como te he dicho, y pronto estarás en el amor y la gracia de Dios. No permitas que las preocupaciones o las decepciones te impidan buscar Su amor y creer que Él te espera para acogerte en Sus brazos de misericordia y amor, pues no solo te espera, sino que desea que Lo invoques. No dejes que la idea de que está lejos en los cielos te haga pensar que no está siempre cerca de ti, esperando ansiosamente tu llamado.
Él no desea que ninguno de Sus hijos se eche a perder, y cuando se desvían, su Gran Corazón de Amor anhela que regresen y participen de Sus dones y bendiciones. Debes esforzarte con todo tu corazón por constatar esta verdad, pues es una verdad, y es la mayor verdad que nos enseñó Jesús, el más grande de todos los maestros. Haz de tu vida diaria un camino de oración y aspiraciones, y verás que lo que te he dicho no sólo es cierto, sino que puedes hacerlo parte de ti. Tan solo tienes que dirigir tus deseos hacia Dios, y Él te encontrará con creces, pues nunca duerme ni cierra Su oído a las súplicas de Sus hijos; y aquellos que lo han buscado con un deseo sincero y arrepentido, y un anhelo profundo del alma, saben que Él siempre ha respondido a su llamada.
Ahora estás en el camino para obtener estas bendiciones, y ruego que continúes, pues no puedes encontrar la verdadera felicidad de ninguna otra manera. Esto es lo que Jesús quiso decir cuando afirmó: ‘Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida‘. Él sabía que solo había una manera de obtener el amor del Padre, y es a través del Nuevo Nacimiento, que consiste simplemente en la entrada del amor de Dios en el alma del hombre hasta el punto de erradicar todo deseo y preferencia por cosas que no están en armonía con las leyes y el amor de Dios.
Debes reflexionar más profundamente sobre esta vital consideración de la economía del ser de Dios.
No se trata de a qué iglesia perteneces, ni de qué fe profesas, ni de quién sea tu pastor, ni de los deberes que tengas con la iglesia, ni de la ceremonia del bautismo según los dogmas eclesiásticos; sino de si has buscado a Dios en espíritu y en verdad, y si has recibido Su favor y amor.
Esto es algo personal, y nadie puede salvarse por los sufrimientos o el progreso de otro. Cada alma es una unidad completa cuando está unida a su pareja [mate], y la condición espiritual de cada alma para con Dios determinará su lugar y su felicidad en el mundo espiritual. Por lo tanto, no permitas que la idea de que es necesario creer en un dogma o ceremonia específica de la iglesia te impida buscar el Nuevo Nacimiento. Este es el principio fundamental que opera en la reconciliación del hombre con Dios, y todas las demás doctrinas son secundarias y solo deben creerse en la medida en que conduzcan a la creencia en este fundamento.
Escribo por dictado de tu abuela, pues ella sabe, y yo, por supuesto, no sería capaz de plasmar así mis propios pensamientos y experiencias.
Ella dice que debes procurar estar en una condición tal que el Maestro pueda escribir; que aquello que él diga va a mostrar a la humanidad las verdades eternas del reino y las leyes de Dios; que ella es una principiante en el conocimiento y la capacidad de explicar las verdades de Dios; que Jesús te enseñará. Así que trata de volverte más espiritual, de modo que puedas aprender las maravillosas enseñanzas del Amor y la verdad de Dios, que él te dará.

I AM HERE, your own true Helen.
You didn’t think I could change the announcement of my coming, but you must know that I can do anything to please you, my dear Ned.
Yes you have, and I have been so very happy. Well, sweetheart, I must tell you that I am very happy and am progressing very rapidly. I don’t expect to remain in this sphere very much longer, for my love and faith are so great that I feel that I must get closer to God’s fountainhead in the Celestial Spheres. Doesn’t it seem like some fairy dream? But it is all true, and I am so happy.
I will soon be with you in a long letter, telling you of this Great Love, and how much I love God and you.
No you won’t, for you are progressing, too. You may not realize it, but it is true, and if you should come over now, you would be surprised to find yourself in a high sphere. Well, I know how you feel, but you must believe that I can see your spiritual condition better than you can.
Well that may be so, but when you get this Great Love in your heart in sufficient abundance, and you have much of it now, your sins will be blotted out. This is the law of regeneration; otherwise, the man who continues without this Love, and the man who receives it, would be in the same condition, and the New Birth would mean nothing. So do not think that this Great Love is not sufficient to cleanse the soul of the results of the sins of earth life; and, best of all, it cleanses while you are a mortal.
I know that the spiritualists quote and proclaim the law of recompense or compensation, but there is a higher law that nullifies that law; and when Love, this Divine Love, comes into the soul of a mortal, the law of compensation is removed from the scope of its working, for Love is the fulfilling of the law. So do not let that stumbling block make you believe that this Great Love is not sufficient to remove all sin and error, and to purify your soul so that you may become fitted to live in the kingdom of the Father and become one with Him.
No, the Love is for the vilest sinner, and no man can by a mere act of restoration fit himself for the inflowing of this Divine Love. It is waiting for the sinner as well as for the saint; and even though your sins be as scarlet they will be made white as wool. I mean that you will not have to wait to make recompense to mortals before this great Love can do the cleansing work; else what is the use of having this Great Love provided for man? If he shall first make himself pure what is the necessity for the work of the Holy Spirit?
Only pray for this Love and have faith, and you will get it. God is the judge of what a man shall do to render justice and restitution, and when He says that this Divine Love, with all its cleansing power, is for the sinner who seeks for it by true faith, who has the right to say that the sinner must first do what man may think is justice between himself and his fellow man?
I know whereof I speak, for the experience of many spirits who have been redeemed by this Love show that they were sinners, and had not «paid the last farthing,» when they received this Love. God is the judge, not mortals nor spirits.
So, my dear Ned, do not let the idea that you must render to every man that which you think he may be entitled to, keep you from believing in the mercy and Love of the Father.
Oh, how I wish I could be with you a little while in my bodily form, and tell you face to face what this great Love means to you and to me and to all of us.
So sweetheart, believe me when I say that even though you may be a great sinner, yet the Father’s Love is sufficient to remove all those sins just as soon as you can receive it. Such is the law of this Great Love.
Faith and prayer can open the very heart of the Celestial Spheres, and Love will flow down into your soul as the avalanche of snow that feels the warmth of the sun’s bright rays rushes from its mountain heights when winter leaves with its chilling gloom and blasting breath for other climes.
Love is not only warmth, but it is the very burnings of the soul’s great storehouse of God’s Divine Essence.
I am not only the possessor of this Love to a large degree, but I realize that as I advance to higher spheres there is a greater abundance awaiting to fill my soul with its great undying fires of never ending burnings – by burnings so great and free from everything that makes for unhappiness and discontent.
I must stop now.
So my own dear and precious Ned, love me as I love you and we both will be so very happy, that heaven will be with us and in us even while we are writing in the earth surroundings.

Helen describes her home in Third Sphere. The importance of seeking for the Divine Love (30 Nov 1914)
I AM HERE, Helen.
I am very happy for I have so much Love of God in my heart that I cannot think of anything that tends to make me unhappy.
Yes, my home is very beautiful and I am perfectly delighted with it. It is made of white marble and is surrounded by lawns and flowers and trees of various kinds. The grass is so very green and the flowers are so beautiful and variegated. The trees are always in foliage and have such beautiful limbs and leaves. I am most pleased with my home, I mean the building. There are many beautiful pictures on the walls, and the walls are all frescoed and hung with fine coverings, and the floors are inlaid with beautiful mosaics. I have all the splendid furniture that I could possibly wish for, and my library is full of books of all kinds, especially of those that tell of God and His Love for man. You would be in your element if you could be with me.
I have music, such as you never heard on earth, and instruments of various kinds which I am learning to play, and I sing with all my heart and soul as the days go by. I have beds on which I lie down, but I never sleep. We do not need sleep here; we only rest, for sometimes we get tired from our work and are greatly refreshed by lying on the beds and couches which are so comfortable that we do not realize that we are tired after lying down a little while.
Yes I do, and when I sing I think of you and wish that you could hear me as you did when I was with you in the body. I like «The Song that Reached my Heart»; it seems to bring me more in rapport with you than any of the others, although «Sing Me to Sleep» is one that I enjoy to sing very much.
Yes we eat fruit and nuts, but do not do so because we are hungry, but more because we enjoy the flavors so much; and we drink water, pure and sweet, as it makes us feel so refreshed when we are a little tired. No, our fruit is not of the earthly kind – it is so much more delightful that I am unable to describe it to you. And the nuts are different, also. Yes, the water is purer than what you have and is more refreshing.
No, our instruments are not like those on earth, they are not stringed instruments, but are played by our thoughts of goodness and love. We do not use fingers or lungs, but merely thoughts, and if they are pure and loving, our music is very beautiful and not discordant.
Yes, I am, when you are asleep or doing something in the line of your work; then you do not need me and I am free to leave you. You must not think that I am not free to leave you when I am with you, for I am, and I come to you of my own free will; but love compels, and in that particular I am not free and don’t want to be. Your love to me is the greatest thing, except God’s Love, in all the world, and without it I would be very unhappy. You do not know how very necessary your loving me is to my happiness; and you must never cease to love me, for if you do not I will not enjoy my home or the spirit world so much. Yes, I know, but I some times fear that you may forget to think of me as I want you to.
Yes it is permanent, and the house and trees and flowers are more real to me than were ever the houses and trees and flowers on earth; they are not shadowy as you may think, but are so very substantial that they never decay or grow old.
Yes, I have one selected for you now, and will make it so beautiful that you will wonder how it was possible for me to do so; there will be so much love in it that there will be no room for anything that is not in harmony with my love, and you will realize that your own Helen loves you with all the love that a soul can have for its mate.
Yes, we will be together in every way and separated only while we are doing some of God’s work. You will be with me in all my thoughts and I will be with you in your thoughts. Love will keep us through all eternity.
Yes, we will love our parents and children just as much as on earth, but they will not need our love so much, as they will have their own soulmates to love them. We will visit them and be visited by them, and enjoy their society even more than when on earth. They will love us very much, but the love that makes two souls one will exist only for the soulmates. God’s Love will not interfere with that – I mean our love for God. It is of a kind that is different from our love for each other, and is of a more spiritual and Holy nature.
I am so very much pleased to see that you are getting more of His Love in your heart each day, and soon you will do the work that the Master has laid out for you to do.
Yes, I am going to try to progress into the higher planes, and hope to do so as rapidly as is possible, but you may rest assured that no matter what plane I may be in, my love for you will not lessen, and I will not cease to be with you as I now am. The life in the higher spheres without you would not be complete – you are necessary to my complete happiness. God has decreed that two soulmates are intended to make one complete whole, and they must, in order to be wholly happy and to fulfill the laws of His Love, live together forever as one.
Yes, I know, because I have asked your grandmother and she has told me. You can progress on earth just as rapidly as I can here, if you will let God’s Love come into your heart as fully and as abundantly as I do; and you can if you will only pray to the Father. He does not require the child of His care to be in the spirit world in order to develop his soul. You have the same soul now that you will have when you come here, and if you let God fill it with His Love while you are on earth, why should it not progress as much as it does here? God does not intend to wait until you come over here that He may give you the full enjoyment of His Holy Spirit; it all depends upon you. If you truly and sincerely seek His Love, you will get it on earth just as easily as you can get it after you have shunned off the body. The Love of God coming into the soul of a man does not depend upon whether he is in the flesh or in the spirit. All souls must answer for the sins done in the body, but it is not necessary that such penalties be paid in the spirit world – you can pay the penalty while on earth. As you sow so shall you reap, but the reaping is not necessarily here.
If you seek earnestly for God’s grace and Love you can obtain them on earth, and I am informed that when they are obtained on earth, greater will be the progress of the spirit when it comes over. So let me pray you to seek these blessings while you are in your present life, and not wait for them to be given to you after you have entered the spirit world.
Your grandmother says that she had that experience, and when she came here, she entered the third heaven, without going through a period of expiation or purification in the lower spheres. She is a wonderfully bright and pure spirit, and is very close to God, and has so much of His Love in her soul that her countenance really seems an illuminated face. She is in a condition of almost perfect Love and peace, though she says that she is striving for a higher plane and a closer at-onement with her Heavenly Father. She is the one who can help you in your spiritual progress more than all others, except Jesus, who is the grandest and most glorious spirit in all the heavens.
Let your thoughts be of a pure and holy kind, and you will soon realize that God’s Love is in your soul to a degree that will make you feel that He is your own near and dear Father. Do not doubt His Love, or that He can come to you through the Holy Spirit, for that is His messenger of Love, and it will never refuse to come into a man’s heart and soul, where the desire exists to have it come, by earnest sincere prayer for its inflowing.
Be true to yourself, as I have told you, and you will soon be in God’s Love and favor. Do not let worries or disappointments keep you from seeking His Love, and believing that He is waiting to enfold you in His arms of mercy and Love, for He is not only waiting but wants you to call on Him. Do not let the thought that He is afar up in the heavens cause you to think that He is not always near you anxiously waiting your call.
He is not willing that one of His children should perish, and when they go astray His great Heart of Love yearns for them to return and partake of His bounties and blessings. You must try with all your heart to realize this truth, for it is a truth, and is the greatest truth taught us by Jesus, who is the greatest of all teachers. Make your daily life one of prayer and aspirations, and you will see that what I have told you is not only true, but you can make it a part of yourself. You have only to let your desires turn towards God, and He will meet you more than half way, for He never sleeps or closes His ear to the supplications of His children; and those who have sought Him with an earnest and repentant wish, and longing desire of the soul, know that He has always responded to their call.
You are now in the way to obtain these blessings, and I pray that you may continue, for you cannot find true happiness in any other way. This is what Jesus meant when he said, «I am the Way, the Truth and the Life». He knew that there was only one way to obtain the Father’s Love, and that is through the New Birth, which is merely the flowing into the soul of man the Love of God, to the extent of eradicating all desires and tastes for things which are not in harmony with God’s laws and Love.
You must give your thoughts more to this vital consideration of the economy of God’s being.
It is not a question of what church you belong to, or what particular faith you may have, or who your preacher may be, or to what duties you owe to the church, or to the ceremony of baptism according to the church’s dogmas; but whether you have sought God in spirit and in truth, and have received His favor and Love.
This is an individual matter, and no man can be saved by the sufferings or progress of another. Each soul is a complete unit, when joined with its mate, and the spiritual condition of each soul towards God determines what its place and happiness will be in the spirit world. So do not let the thought that it is necessary to believe in a special church dogma or any ceremony, keep you from seeking the New Birth. This is the fundamental principle that operates in the atonement of man with God, and all other doctrines are merely secondary, and need to be believed only as they may lead to a belief in this foundation.
I am writing at the dictation of your grandmother, for she knows, and I, of course, would not be able to write in this way of my own thoughts and experience.
She says that you must try to get in condition so that the Master may write; that that which he shall say will show to mankind the everlasting truths of God’s kingdom and laws; that she is a mere tyro in the knowledge and ability to explain God’s truths; that Jesus will teach you. So try to become more spiritual, so that you may learn the wonderful teachings of God’s Love and truth that he will give you.
You must stop writing now as you are tired and so am I.
