Esto forma parte de un libro que es el segundo volumen de una recopilación concreta de las cartas o mensajes recibidos a principios del siglo XX por James E. Padgett de parte de varios desencarnados, entre otros, de Jesús de Nazaret.
Estos volúmenes fueron preparados y/o compartidos así por Divine Truth, entre otras personas.
Este segundo volumen no estructura los mensajes según temas. Y tal como se ve en su índice, contiene:

Samuel: Describe los Ámbitos Celestiales (17 agosto 1915)
Aquí estoy, Samuel, el Profeta.
Soy el profeta que vine a ti antes y escribió. Esta noche quiero hablarte de las maravillosas cosas que Dios ha preparado para Sus hijos redimidos en las Esferas Celestiales, a las cuales solo pueden entrar quienes han recibido el Nuevo Nacimiento.
En estas esferas hay hogares hechos de los materiales más hermosos que se puedan imaginar, de carácter real y permanente, que no están sujetos a la decadencia ni al deterioro de ningún tipo, y que no están hechos por manos humanas, sino por el desarrollo del alma y el amor que cada espíritu posee.
Estos hogares están aderezados con todo lo necesario para que sus habitantes sean felices y estén satisfechos; y en ellos no hay lugar para ningún elemento de inarmonía. Cada hogar tiene su biblioteca, así como muebles, pinturas y revestimientos de paredes de lo más hermosos; también tiene espacios dedicados a los diversos usos que un espíritu pueda necesitar darles. La música es sublime, más allá de toda concepción. Y hay toda clase de instrumentos musicales que los espíritus saben tocar, y, aunque quizá no lo creas, todo espíritu sabe cantar. No hay voces que desentonen con el entorno ni con las demás. Cada espíritu lleva la música en su alma y posee cualidades vocales para expresarla.
Se ofrecen divanes para el descanso, fuentes, hermosas flores de todos los colores y variedades, y praderas de un verde intenso y exuberante. Abundan los árboles, plantados con suprema maestría artística, de modo que se encuentren en armonía con el paisaje circundante.
Y la luz que llega a nuestros hogares es tan especial que no puedo describirla; solo puedo decir que con ella y en ella residen las influencias más reconfortantes y maravillosas que los espíritus puedan imaginar.
Todas estas cosas, y muchas más, son proporcionadas por nuestro amoroso Padre para la felicidad de Sus hijos. Pero, sobre todo, está esto: el maravilloso Amor del Padre, que siempre está con nosotros, y que colma nuestras almas hasta rebosar y nos mantiene en un estado continuo de felicidad, paz y alegría.
Todas estas cosas se nos dan gratuitamente, junto con el conocimiento de que formamos parte del Ser Divino del Padre y que poseemos, sin posibilidad de perderla, la inmortalidad que Jesús reveló cuando vino a la tierra.
He estado en estos cielos muchos años y sé de lo que hablo; y cuando te cuento estas cosas, lo hago para que vosotros y toda la humanidad sepáis que estos deleites pueden ser vuestros si tan solo permitís que el Amor Divino del Padre entre en vuestras almas, y tomáis plena posesión del mismo.
En cuanto a nuestro disfrute social, somos tan amorosos los unos con los otros que nada surge ─como sí surge en la tierra─ que perturbe lo más mínimo nuestra maravillosa armonía. Nos visitamos, y compartimos nuestras experiencias sobre la vida de amor que llevamos; escuchamos música e intercambiamos reflexiones sobre nuestro progreso constante y nuestra labor en el mundo espiritual. Cada espíritu en nuestra esfera podría visitar a cualquier otro espíritu sabiendo que la puerta está siempre abierta, y que le espera una cálida bienvenida.
No os puedo relatar todas estas maravillas porque no hay palabras que puedan expresar su significado. Vuestra capacidad de comprensión está limitada por vuestras barreras mentales, por lo cual me encuentro en desventaja. Pero esto sí puedo deciros: algún día, si recibís el Amor Divino en vuestra alma con la suficiente abundancia, veréis y comprenderéis por vosotros mismos lo que Dios os tiene reservado. Como bien se dijo: «Ningún ojo ha visto, ni mente alguna ha concebido, las maravillas que aguardan al verdadero hijo del Padre».
No; no hay calles de oro ni muros de jaspe, ni ninguna de esas cosas materiales que Juan utilizó en su Apocalipsis para describir la Ciudad de Dios. Simplemente se usaron como símbolos, pero no expresaban las maravillas de nuestros hogares.
No escribiré más esta noche, pero volveré en otra ocasión para hablarte de asuntos más importantes que la descripción de nuestros hogares.

Jerónimo: Las verdades de Dios no deben buscarse en sus escritos ni en los de los discípulos, tal como se recogen en la Biblia, debido a los numerosos errores que contienen. (17 agosto 1915)
San Jerónimo.
Vengo a deciros que soy habitante de ese Reino que Samuel describió tan incompletamente, y ese es el Reino de Jesús y, por supuesto, del Padre.
Quizás no sepáis nada de mí, pero fui canonizado hace muchos siglos por la Iglesia, pues consideró que le había hecho mucho bien con mis escritos y discursos sobre temas religiosos. Pero debo confesar ahora que, cuando escribí, expresé como verdades muchas cosas que ahora veo que no eran ciertas, y me gustaría poder corregir todos estos errores en mis escritos, pero no puedo.
Así pues, os diré brevemente que las verdades del Maestro, que son las verdades de Dios, no deben buscarse en mis escritos, y ni siquiera en los de sus discípulos ─tal como se recogen en la Biblia─, debido a los numerosos errores que contienen; no porque los discípulos y aquellos a quienes transmitieron estas verdades no las escribieran correctamente, sino porque la Biblia, tal como está escrita ahora, difiere de lo que escribieron los discípulos en muchos aspectos importantes. Por eso, Jesús, sabiendo esto, anhela tanto que el mundo reciba de nuevo estas grandes verdades a través de sus mensajes escritos.
Me esfuerzo al máximo por apoyar la causa que él defiende, y soy uno de los espíritus que, con todo su poder espiritual, intentan guiaros correctamente y capacitaros para recibir las verdades.

Me encuentro en una Esfera Celestial muy elevada en los cielos. No puedo describir su ubicación de otra manera. Estas esferas no se numeran después de las primeras, porque entonces se entremezclan y no hay líneas de demarcación.
Pero no estoy tan elevado como los discípulos y muchos otros seguidores del Maestro. Los espíritus antiguos, como Moisés, Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, se encuentran en esferas superiores; pero no están tan exaltados como los apóstoles y discípulos de Jesús, ni ─según tengo entendido─ como muchos de los espíritus que vinieron al mundo espiritual después de la llegada de Jesús. No escribiré más esta noche, pero sí te doy las gracias y te deseo buenas noches.

Juan: La verdad sobre los infiernos (18 diciembre 1915)
Aquí estoy, Juan.
Solo quería decirte que he escuchado el mensaje que leíste, así como los comentarios de tu amigo y tuyos, y creo que tienes una comprensión verdadera de la realidad de estos infiernos.
Swedenborg os dio una descripción precisa de sus condiciones tal como existen en realidad; y Herodes, con la certeza de la experiencia, confirmó lo que había constatado. Yo, Juan, que los he visitado en mi intento por aliviar el sufrimiento de los espíritus que los habitan, os digo que existen como lugares, con toda la oscuridad y los ambientes que agravan el sufrimiento de esos desdichados espíritus. Deseo hacer esta declaración para que la cuestión de qué es realmente el infierno quede resuelta para siempre, al menos para vosotros.
Sé que muchos mortales se consuelan creyendo que, debido a ciertas leyes naturales, no puede haber infiernos como los que enseñan los ortodoxos, y que, por lo tanto, no puede haber infiernos en absoluto. Pero la conclusión que se extrae de esta premisa es errónea. El mero hecho de que un hombre o un espíritu no pueda arder eternamente ni pueda jamás ser consumido, no justifica la inferencia de que dicho espíritu no pueda verse castigado mediante un entorno con una ubicación fija.
No; el hombre no debe confiar en la creencia de que no existen los infiernos descritos por Swedenborg, porque si así lo hace, desgraciadamente se equivocará y se sorprenderá, si es que lleva una vida en la tierra que lo conduzca a dichos infiernos.
Esta noche simplemente quería decir esto, pues no quiero que recibas ninguna comunicación que no esté en consonancia con la verdad. Es de vital importancia que solo recibas la verdad, de modo que quienes estamos interesados en esta obra hemos decidido que solamente te llegue la verdad y nada más que la verdad; y siempre que se deslice algún error o inexactitud, será corregido cuidadosamente.
Así pues, sin escribir más por esta noche, diré que soy,

Juan – Nadie sufrirá en el infierno por toda la eternidad; todos progresarán (19 noviembre 1916)
Aquí estoy, Juan.
Estuve con vosotros esta noche y escuché el sermón sobre el infierno, y lamenté mucho que el predicador (el dr. Ratcliff) no pudiera explicar a sus feligreses con mayor profundidad la verdad sobre qué es el infierno y cuál será el castigo para quienes sean tan desafortunados de ir allí. Es lamentable que estos líderes religiosos estén tan cegados, y carezcan del conocimiento sobre la verdad acerca de este tema ─así como sobre de muchos otros─, que la difundan erróneamente ante sus congregaciones. Por supuesto, su conocimiento se basa en lo que consideran las verdades de la Biblia, y en muchos aspectos lo que dicen está justificado por las enseñanzas del Libro. Sin embargo, en muchos casos sus enseñanzas son erróneas debido a la equivocada interpretación que hacen de muchas de las declaraciones bíblicas. En cualquier caso, están enseñando como verdad cosas que no son ciertas; y el daño causado es tan nefasto como si sus creencias y enseñanzas fueran el resultado de algo que ellos mismos hubieran reconocido como falso. La falsedad es falsedad, independientemente de si surge de una convicción sincera o de un error conocido, y el daño causado es el mismo en ambos casos.
El predicador, no me cabe duda, cree en lo que proclamaba como verdad, y algunas de sus afirmaciones eran ciertas; sin embargo, el hecho de que creyera en la veracidad de dichas doctrinas no le exime en absoluto de su responsabilidad en cuanto al efecto de estos errores en sus oyentes. Pues el sufrimiento y la oscuridad que sin duda les sobrevendrán al creer en estas enseñanzas erróneas no serán menores porque el predicador fuera sincero al declarar lo que consideraba la verdad. La fuente del error no modifica ni afecta en modo alguno las consecuencias que se derivan de su aceptación y seguimiento; y el predicador, si bien en estos casos no engaña deliberadamente, al llegar al mundo espiritual y conocer la verdad, experimentará el remordimiento y el sufrimiento que siempre se derivan de difundir falsedades y engaños.
El error trae consigo su propio castigo, pero puede que sirva de cierto consuelo ─y lo será para quienes predican y para quienes aceptan la falsedad como verdad─ saber que tal castigo no será perpetuo, que Dios no es un Dios de ira ni de venganza, y que Su justicia nunca exige más de lo necesario para erradicar el error y establecer Sus verdades.
De hecho, Su justicia no sería tal si permitiera que el error persistiera e impidiera que el hombre o los espíritus se redimieran al recobrar la verdad, solo para que quienes desobedecieron sufran y se separen de Él por toda la eternidad.
Esto es solo la breve reflexión que quise hacer sobre el sermón, pero en algún momento vendré y os daré una explicación completa sobre qué es el infierno, su propósito y funcionamiento, así como su duración.
Seguid todos rezando al Padre por este Amor y tened fe, y pronto llegará el momento en que esa fe sea tan real y tangible como el sol que tanto habéis disfrutado hoy.

Samuel: Describes the Celestial Heavens. (17 Aug 1915)
I am here, Samuel, the Prophet.
I am the prophet who came to you before and wrote. To night, I want to tell you of the wonderful things which God has prepared for his redeemed children in the Celestial Spheres, where only those who have received the New Birth can enter.
In these spheres are homes made of the most beautiful materials that can be imagined, and which are of a real and permanent character, and not subject to decay or deterioration of any kind, and which are made without hands, but by the soul’s development, and the love which each spirit possesses.
These homes are furnished with everything that is suited to make the inhabitants happy and contented; and not one element of inharmony has any abiding place therein. Every home has its library, and the most beautiful furniture and paintings and wall coverings, and also rooms that are devoted to the various uses that a spirit may need them for. The music is sublime beyond conception; and there are all kinds of musical instruments which the spirits know how to play, and, as you may not suppose, every spirit has the ability to sing. There are no voices that are out of tune with the surroundings and with the other voices. Every spirit has music in his soul, and every spirit has the vocal qualities to express that music.
Couches for repose are provided, and running fountains and beautiful flowers of every hue and variety, and lawns the most beautiful and green. Trees are in abundance and are planted in the most artistic manner, so that they are in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
And the light that comes to our homes is of such a kind that I cannot describe it, and can only say that with it and in it are the most soothing and wonderful influences that spirits can conceive of.
All these things and many more are provided by our loving Father for the happiness of His children. But above all is this, the wonderful Love of the Father, which is always with us, and which fills our souls to overflowing, and keeps us in one continuous state of happiness and peace and joy.
All these things are freely given to us, and with them the knowledge that we are a part of the Father’s Divine Being, and have, beyond the possibility of losing it, the immortality which Jesus brought to light when he came to earth.
I have been in these heavens many years, and know whereof I speak; and when I tell you of these things, I do so that you and all mankind may know that these delights may be yours and theirs, if you will only let the Divine Love of the Father enter your souls, and take complete possession of it.
Well, as to our social enjoyments, we are so loving, one to the other, that nothing arises, as on earth, to cause one the slightest jar in our wonderful harmony. We visit one another and give our experiences of the love life that we lead, and have music, and interchange thoughts about our continuous progress, and our work in the spirit world. Every spirit in our sphere may visit every other spirit, and know that the door is always open and a warm welcome awaiting him.
I cannot tell you of all these wonders because there are no words that will convey our meanings. Your capacity to understand is limited by your mental boundaries, and hence, I am at a disadvantage. But this I can tell you, and that is, that some day, if you get the Divine Love in your soul in sufficient abundance, you will see and understand for yourselves what God has in store for you. It was truly said, «that no eye has seen, or mind conceived, the wonderful things that await the true child of the Father.»
No, there are no streets of gold or walls of jasper, or any of these material things that John made use of in his Apocalypse to describe the City of God. They were merely used as symbols, but they did not express the wonders of our homes.
I will not write more tonight, but will come again sometime and tell you of things that are of more importance than a description of our homes.

Jerome: The truths of God must not be sought for in his writings or those of the disciples as contained in the Bible, because of many errors therein. (17 Aug 1915)
St. Jerome.
I came to tell you that I am an inhabitant of that Kingdom which Samuel has so inadequately described, and that is the Kingdom of Jesus and, of course, of the Father.
You may not know anything about me, but I was canonized many centuries ago by the church, because it thought that I had done the church so much good by my writings and discourses on things religious. But I must confess now, that when I wrote, I expressed as truths many things which I now see were not true, and I would like to be able to correct all these errors in my writings, but I cannot.
So I will tell you in a few words that the truths of the Master, which are the truths of God, must not be sought for in my writings, or even in those of his disciples as contained in the Bible, because of the many errors that therein exist – not because the disciples and those to whom they conveyed these truths did not write them correctly, but because the Bible, as now written, is not the same in many important particulars, as what the disciples wrote. And hence Jesus, knowing this, is so anxious that the world shall receive these great truths again through his written messages.
I am trying my best to help the cause which he is advocating, and am one of the spirits behind you who are trying with all their spirit powers to direct you aright and enable you to receive the truths.
I am in a Celestial Sphere very high up in the heavens. I cannot otherwise describe its location. These spheres are not numbered after the first few, because then they interblend so that there is no lines of demarcation.
But I am not so high up as are the disciples and many others who are followers of the Master. The ancient spirits, such as Moses and Abraham and Isaac and Jacob are in higher spheres; but they are not so exalted as are Jesus’ apostles and disciples, and, as I am informed, many spirits who came to the spirit world since Jesus came. I will not write more to night, but will thank you, and say good night.

John: The truth as to the Hells. (18 Dec 1915)
I am here, John.
I merely want to say that I have listened to the message that you read, and to the remarks of your friend and yourself, and I believe that you have a true conception of the truth as to these hells.
Swedenborg told you gave you a correct description of their conditions as they actually exist, and Herod with the certainty of experience what he found to be true, and I, John, who have visited them in the efforts to allay the sufferings of the spirits who inhabit them, tell you that they exist as places, with all the darkness and surroundings that cause the sufferings of the unfortunate spirits to increase. I desire to make this statement so that this question of what hell really is may be settled for all time, so far as you are concerned.
I know that many mortals console themselves with the belief that because of certain natural laws, there cannot possibly be any hells such as the orthodox teach, (and) that therefore there cannot be any hells at all. But the conclusion drawn from the premise is not correct. The mere fact that because a man or spirit cannot burn eternally and never be consumed, does not justify the inference that such spirit cannot be punished by surroundings which have a fixed locality.
No, man must not rest in the belief of there being no such hells as Swedenborg has described, because if they do, they will be woefully mistaken and surprised should they live such lives on earth as will cause them to be placed in these hells. I merely wanted to say this much tonight, as I don’t want you to receive any communication which is not in accord with the truth. It is of such vital importance that you receive nothing but the truth, that we who are interested in this work have determined that nothing but the truth shall come to you, and that whenever error or misstatements creep in we will carefully correct the same.
So without writing more tonight, I will say that I am,

John – No one will suffer in hell for eternity – all will progress (19 Nov 1916)
I am here, John.
I was with you tonight and heard the sermon on hell, and was so sorry that the preacher (Dr Ratcliff) could not tell his people more of the truths as to what hell is, and the punishment of those who will be so unfortunate as to go to that place will be. It is pitiable that these leaders of the people are so blinded and without knowledge as to what the truth is in regard to this subject – as well as to many others, that they so erroneously declare to their congregations. Of course, their knowledge is based upon what they consider to be the truths of the Bible, and in many respects what they say is justified by the teachings of the Book; but in many cases their teachings are erroneous because of the wrong construction that they place upon many of the declarations of the Bible. In either case they are teaching, for the truth, those things that are not true, and the harm accomplished is just as baneful as if their beliefs and teachings were the result of what they realized to be untrue. Untruth is untruth, no matter whether it arises from honest conviction or known error, and the harm done is the same in each instance.
The preacher, I have no doubt, believes what he declared to be the truth, and some things he said were true, yet the fact that he believed these doctrines to be true will not palliate in any way his responsibility, so far as the effect of these errors on his hearers are concerned. For their sufferings and darkness, which will certainly follow their beliefs in these erroneous teachings, will be no less because the preacher was honest in his declarations of what he supposed to be the truth. The source of error does not in any way modify or affect the results that flow from its acceptance and following, and the preacher, while not in such cases a willful deceiver, yet when he comes to the spirit world, and learns the truth, he will have the regrets and the sufferings which always flow from the spreading of falsehood and deception.
Error works its own punishment, but it may be of some consolation, and will be to those who preach, and to those who accept falsehood as truth, to know that such punishment will not be everlasting, and that God is not a God of wrath or of vindictiveness, and that His justice never demands more than is necessary for the removing of error, and the establishment of His truths. Why, His justice would not be justice if He permitted error to continue, and prevented recovery on the part of man or spirits of the truth, just for the purpose of having those who had been disobedient suffer and be separated from Him for all eternity. I merely wanted to say this much on the sermon, and sometime I will come and write you a full explanation of what hell is, its purpose and work, and how long it continues.
Let all of you continue to pray to the Father for this Love and have faith, and the time will soon come (when) that faith will become as real and existing as the sun which you so much enjoyed today. So my brother, with all my love and blessings I will say good night.
