Permíteme escribir, Judas.
Hace mucho tiempo que no te escribo y siento que debo hacerlo para declararte una verdad importante para ti y para la humanidad. No escribiré un mensaje muy largo, y lo que tenga que decir será breve y conciso. Sé que te preguntas quién soy y sobre qué escribiré, y no te sorprendas si te digo algo que quizás pienses que no tiene mucha relevancia.
Bueno, mi tema es: «¿Qué es lo mejor que pueden hacer los hombres que desean ver a Dios y constatar que Él es un Dios Personal, con todos los atributos que sólo pertenecen a un Ser Supremo e Infinito?».
Dios es un espíritu y una persona [person], y no un mero ser nebuloso sin forma ni personalidad. Él es real en cuanto a estas cualidades, y no le falta nada de aquello que lo haga ser el Padre, ese Padre que Jesús consideró y llamó tan a menudo así.
Ahora bien, para que un espíritu vea y entienda todo esto, debe alcanzar una armonía tal con Él que le permita poseer cualidades de alma semejantes a aquellas del Padre que [aquel espíritu] desee ver y comprender. Esta condición solo puede obtenerse si el espíritu sigue el camino sobre el cual el Maestro tan a menudo os escribe, y el cual es absolutamente necesario para que el espíritu adquiera las cualidades requeridas para tal compenetración [comprehension]. Sólo cuando el alma está colmada del Amor del Padre puede siquiera llegar a hallarse en la condición que le permita ver y percibir en su plenitud [comprehend] esta personalidad de Dios. Ningún mero desarrollo de las facultades intelectuales ni del amor natural bastará para tal propósito; y si bien dicho desarrollo es necesario para que el espíritu se convierta en el hombre perfecto y disfrute de la condición que a tal hombre corresponde, dicho desarrollo no es suficiente para facultar al espíritu para ver y comprender al Padre.
Es mucho más fácil para un espíritu alcanzar la condición que acabo de mencionar [la de ver y comprender al Padre], que la última que describí [la de la perfección natural]; y puesto que puede verse que este desarrollo conduce a algo totalmente diferente, ello debería ser motivo suficiente para inducir al espíritu a aceptar el Amor del Padre y convertirse en un verdadero hijo Suyo.

Lo que Judas te ha escrito, yo lo apruebo y lo enfatizo; y con todo mi amor por el mero hombre, así como por el espíritu, insto a todos a que sigan este camino y alcancen la gran meta para la que el Amor Divino los capacitará y a la que los guiará.
No escribiré más esta noche, pero pronto vendré a escribirte un largo mensaje.

Jesús – La importancia de que el hombre cultive las percepciones álmicas. Las cosas espirituales no pueden ser percibidas por la mente material (25 octubre 1915)
Estoy aquí, Jesús.
He escuchado tu conversación y me complace mucho que tú y tu amigo progreséis tan rápidamente en el conocimiento de la verdad; y muy pronto os sorprenderéis de la magnitud del conocimiento de las cosas y de las verdades espirituales que os llegará.
Ningún hombre que en la tierra se dedique únicamente a lo que podríais llamar las cosas materiales, será capaz, al convertirse en espíritu, de comprender las leyes espirituales hasta que se haya despojado de la mente material y del razonamiento proveniente de aquellas facultades [powers] ejercitadas sólo en la investigación de lo material.
No se pueden percibir las cosas espirituales con la mente material; ni tampoco puede el hombre, en virtud de esos poderes [powers] de la mente que solo conocen lo material, ser capaz de percibir las verdades del espíritu. De ahí la necesidad de que el hombre cultive las percepciones álmicas, las cuales son superiores y de mayor alcance que todas las facultades de la mente material.
La mente, tal como el hombre la entiende habitualmente, es sin duda un instrumento maravilloso para investigar y aprender las leyes de la naturaleza y la relación de causa y efecto en el mundo físico. Sin embargo, tales poderes, al aplicarse a las cosas del espíritu, no serán de gran ayuda, sino que más bien retrasarán el progreso del desarrollo de las facultades del alma. El poder de razonamiento otorgado al hombre es la cualidad más elevada de la mente material y, cuando se ejercita adecuadamente, proporciona un método muy seguro y satisfactorio para alcanzar la verdad. Pero dicho poder, cuando se ejerce en referencia a cosas que le son ajenas, o con las que no tiene familiaridad ─o cuando nunca se ha ocupado de investigar los fenómenos de su existencia─, no es de fiar para alcanzar conclusiones que aseguren a los hombres la verdad.
Las leyes son eternas e inmutables, y han sido creadas por el Gran Padre para ser aplicadas a todas las condiciones y relaciones del mundo material y del espiritual. Pero las leyes que rigen las operaciones del mundo material no son aptas para aplicarse a las operaciones del mundo espiritual; y quien comprende las primeras y su aplicación a las cosas materiales no es capaz de aplicar a las cosas espirituales las leyes que al mundo espiritual conciernen. El conocimiento de las leyes de lo natural no provee el conocimiento de las leyes de lo espiritual.
Por lo tanto, el gran científico que en la tierra fue capaz de descubrir y demostrar el funcionamiento de las leyes que rigen lo material, al llegar al mundo espiritual e intentar aplicar este conocimiento a las cosas del espíritu, se verá completamente incapaz de hacerlo, y será como un niño en su capacidad de comprender y extraer deducciones de las leyes espirituales. De ahí la necesidad de que el hombre se familiarice con estas leyes espirituales si espera progresar en las materias a las que estas se aplican.
Las leyes materiales pueden aprenderse mediante la operación de los sentidos que pertenecen a la mente material y la constituyen; pero las leyes espirituales sólo pueden aprenderse mediante el ejercicio y la aplicación de las facultades del alma. El alma es a las cosas espirituales de Dios lo que la mente es a las cosas materiales de Dios. Y el gran error que los hombres cometen y han cometido es intentar aprender estas cosas espirituales con los poderes de la mente material.
Escribo esto porque veo que tú y tu amigo deseáis aprender la naturaleza, el funcionamiento y los mecanismos de las cosas espirituales; de ahí que quiera inculcaros la necesidad de ejercitar las percepciones álmicas que os han de llegar a medida que vuestra alma se desarrolle. Estas percepciones son tan reales como los cinco sentidos de la mente natural, aunque la mayoría de los hombres ni siquiera conocen su existencia. Y una vez que hayáis logrado comprender que existen y que podéis usarlas tal como usáis las facultades de la mente material, podréis progresar en el desarrollo de estas facultades o percepciones con tanto éxito y certeza como el gran científico o filósofo en el estudio de las materias a las que aplica las facultades de su mente material. Espero haber dejado claro lo que pretendo transmitir.
No escribiré más esta noche, pero sí diré que permitáis que vuestra fe aumente, y orad más al Padre, y veréis abrirse ante vosotros una maravillosa perspectiva de conocimiento de las verdades del espíritu.

Jesús mostró su gran gloria y entregó su amor al sr. Padgett (14 diciembre 1915)
Estoy aquí, Jesús.
Me alegra mucho que anheles tanto este Amor. Te diré que el Padre te ama con toda su naturaleza Divina, y te está ayudando a recibir este Amor en tu alma; pronto lo recibirás con tanta abundancia que te sentirás inconcebiblemente feliz. Yo también te amo con todo mi corazón y alma, y estoy muy cerca de ti, procurando que sientas mi presencia e influencia. Ten la seguridad de que estoy contigo con todo mi amor y ternura, y que eres el objeto especial de mi cuidado y custodia. Ojalá pudieras verme mientras escribo esto, pues estoy lleno de tanto amor por ti que sé que, si pudieras ver la gloria del Padre manifestada, nunca más dudarías de mi amor. Oh, hermano mío, tan solo intenta obtener este Amor mediante la oración y la fe, de tal manera que se vuelva tan real para ti como cualquier cosa que tus sentidos naturales te muestran que existe en el mundo físico.
Es más real que cualquier cosa que haya en toda la naturaleza, y tienes en ti la posibilidad de darte cuenta y constatar que existe y es tuyo, si tan solo oras y crees. Estoy contigo en oración por la noche (Nota: El sr. Padgett me dijo que, cuando oraba justo antes de acostarse, a veces veía a Jesús orando junto a él). Y con todo mi amor y fe, pido al Padre que te bendiga y te haga un verdadero partícipe de Su Amor y misericordia, y que te dé la seguridad de que lo recibirás y sabrás que lo tienes.
Mi querido hermano, debo detenerme ya, pero tus anhelos esta noche han sido tan grandes y tan fervientemente sinceros que no podía dejar de escribir sin decírtelo, como he hecho. Y recuerda esto: yo, Jesús, con todo el conocimiento y la autoridad que poseo, te digo que el Amor del Padre será tuyo, y te convertirás en un hombre sumamente feliz, y en un poder en la tierra en cuanto a las cosas espirituales y que pertenecen a los asuntos del Padre.
Así que créeme y confía en el Padre, y no serás abandonado ni dejado solo, sino que estarás rodeado de una multitud de ángeles que serán testigos de que eres el hijo elegido del Padre y el objeto de Su Gran Amor y bendiciones.
Ya no escribiré más, pero sí diré que te quiero como un verdadero hermano y amigo, e incluso como alguien muy cercano a ti; y debes creer, y tuya será la felicidad que pocos en la tierra poseen.

El gran amor de Jesús por el sr. Padgett. John Wesley dijo que la gloria y el poder eran tan maravillosos que se arrodillaron en asombro reverente (14 diciembre 1915)
Permíteme escribir también unas palabras, pues estuve presente cuando el Maestro te otorgó su gran amor y rogó al Padre que enviara a tu alma el Amor del Padre, el Amor Divino, que te hará uno con Él. Y debo decirte que nunca antes hemos visto tanto amor y gloria del Maestro como los que mostró esta noche a ti con su amor y bendiciones. Oh, te digo que fue maravilloso, y todos nos quedábamos en pie, o mejor dicho, nos arrodillábamos con asombro reverencial, pues no podíamos mantenernos ante su presencia.
Pero ¿¡qué significa todo esto!? Ninguno de nosotros lo sabe, pues nunca hemos recibido tal muestra de amor de su parte, ni hemos visto a nadie más recibir ese amor de esa manera.
Comenzamos a comprender que has de ser un hombre muy importante para el Maestro, y que has de ser el objeto especial de su amor y cuidado, pues parece amarte con un amor que no podemos comprender, aunque tenemos en nuestras almas el Amor Divino del Padre en una buena gran medida. Sin embargo, nunca hemos visto un amor como el que mostró esta noche, y su significado no lo podemos comprender plenamente. Oh, te digo que eres un hombre bendecido, y que tienes contigo no solo el amor y el poder del espíritu más grande de todo el universo de Dios, sino también el Gran Amor Divino del Padre. Así que permítenos pensar en esta maravillosa experiencia antes de seguir escribiendo. Te deseo buenas noches.

Bueno, mi querido Ned, apenas puedo escribir de tan llena de asombro reverencial por lo que ha sucedido esta noche ─casi me he quedado sin la facultad de escribir─.
Pero, querido mío, debo decirte que eres muy querido por el Maestro y un hijo del Amor del Padre en una verdadera gran medida. Un tal amor, nunca antes lo había visto, ni esperaba verlo, especialmente derramado sobre ti, que eres tan querido para mí.
No debo intentar escribir más esta noche, pues estoy tan llena de amor, asombro y agradecimiento que casi no puedo pensar. Así que, mi querido Ned, quiéreme con todo tu corazón y alma, y confía en que yo también te quiero. Confirmación de San Marcos de que el Maestro está realizando la gran obra a través del sr. Padgett (14 marzo 1915)
Debo sumar mi testimonio a los que me han precedido para atestiguar el hecho de que el Maestro está realizando ahora una gran obra por la redención de la humanidad, y que a través de ti va a transmitir sus grandes verdades espirituales al hombre pecador.
No escribiré mucho esta noche, pero sí diré que en el futuro comunicaré mis pensamientos, que son fruto del conocimiento y la experiencia en las Esferas Celestiales del Reino de Cristo.

Judas – What men must do to see God and realize that He is a Personal God, with all the attributes that belong only to a Supreme, Infinite Being. (21 Mar 1922)
LET ME WRITE, Judas.
I have not written you for a long time and feel that I must write you and declare some truth that is of importance to you and to mankind. I will not write a very long message, and what I have to say will be put in short sentences and made succinct. I know that you wonder who I am and what I will write about, and you must not be surprised if I tell you what you may think is not of much importance.
Well, my subject is, «What is the best thing for men to do who desire to see God and realize that he is a personal God, with all the attributes that belong only to a Supreme, Infinite Being.»
God is a spirit and a person, and not a mere nebulous being without form or personality. He is real as to these qualities, and is not wanting that which will make him the Father that Jesus so often called him.
Now in order for a spirit to see and understand just what all this means, the spirit must get in that harmony with Him that will enable the spirit to possess qualities of soul that is like the qualities of the Father that the spirit desires to see and understand. This condition can be obtained only by the spirit pursuing the way that the Master so often writes you of, and which is absolutely necessary in order for the spirit to obtain the qualities necessary for such comprehension. Only as a soul is filled with the Love of the Father can it possibly be in the condition that will enable it to see and comprehend this personality of God. No mere development of the intellectual faculties or of the natural love will suffice for this purpose; and while such development is necessary in order for the spirit to become the perfect man in order to enjoy the condition that belongs to that man, yet such development is not sufficient to enable the spirit to see and comprehend the Father.
It is much easier for a spirit to get in the condition just mentioned than to get in the condition last described; and as you may see the wholly different thing that the development leads to, (this) should be sufficient to induce the spirit to accept the Father’s Love, and become a true son of His.
I have written what I desired, and thank you for the opportunity, and with my love will say good night.

What Judas has written you I approve and emphasize, and with all my love for the mere man, as for the spirit, urge them to pursue the way and attain to the great goal that the Divine Love will fit them for and lead them into.

Jesus – The importance of man cultivating the soul perceptions. Spiritual things cannot be perceived by the material mind. (25 Oct 1915)
I AM HERE, Jesus.
I have heard your discussion and am much pleased that you and your friend are progressing so rapidly in the knowledge of truth, and very soon you both will be surprised at the extent of knowledge of spiritual things and truths that will come to you.
No man, who on earth is given to only what you may call the material things, will be able, when he becomes a spirit, to understand the spiritual laws, until he has gotten rid of the material mind, and the reasoning that comes from the powers which have been exercised only in the investigation of material things.
You cannot perceive spiritual things with the material mind, neither can a man by reason of those powers of the mind which know only material things, be able to perceive the truths of the spirit. Hence the necessity for man cultivating the soul perceptions, which are greater and more comprehending than all the faculties of the material mind. Mind, as usually understood by man, is undoubtedly a wonderful instrument in investigating and learning the laws of nature and the relation of cause and effect in the physical world, but such powers when applied to the things of the spirit, will not help much, but rather retard the progress of the soul’s development of its faculties. The reasoning power given to man is the highest quality of the material mind and, when properly exercised, affords a very safe and satisfactory method of arriving at the truth. But such power when exercised in reference to things which are strangers to it, or with which such powers having no acquaintance, or have never been concerned in the investigation of the phenomena of their existence, cannot be depended upon to bring conclusions that will assure men of truth.
Laws are eternal and never change and are made by the great Father to be applied to all the conditions and to all the relationships of the material world and of the spiritual world. But the laws that apply to the operations of the material world are not fitted to apply to the operations of the spiritual world; and the man who understands the former and their application to material things is not able to apply the laws applicable to the spiritual world to spiritual things. A knowledge of the laws pertaining to the natural will not supply a knowledge of the laws pertaining to the spiritual.
And hence the great scientist who, when on earth, was able to discover and show the operation of the laws controlling material things, when he comes to the spiritual world and attempts to apply this knowledge to the things of the spirit, will be wholly unable to do so, and will be as a babe in his ability to understand and draw deductions from the spiritual laws. So you see the necessity for man’s becoming acquainted with these spiritual laws, if he expects to progress in things to which they apply.
The material laws may be learned from by the operation of the senses that belong to and constitute the material mind, but the spiritual laws can only be learned by the exercise and application of the faculties of the soul. The soul is to the spiritual things of God what the mind is to the material things of God. And the great mistake that men make and have made, is to attempt to learn these spiritual things with the powers of the material mind.
I write thus because I see that you and your friend desire to learn the nature and operations and workings of the spiritual things, and hence I want to impress upon you the necessity for exercising the soul perceptions which will come to you as your soul develops. These perceptions are just as real as are the five senses of the natural mind, though most men do not even know of their existence; and when once you have succeeded in understanding that they do exist and that you may be able to use them just as you use the faculties of the material mind, you will be able to progress in the development of these faculties or perceptions with as much success and certainty as does the great scientist or philosopher in the studies of the things to which he applies the faculties of his material mind. I hope that I have made plain what I intend to convey.
I will not write more tonight, but say let your faith increase and pray more to the Father, and you will see open up to you a wonderful vista of knowledge of the truths of the spirit.

Jesus showed his great glory and gave his love to Mr. Padgett (14 Dec 1915)
I AM HERE, Jesus.
Well I am so glad that you are so longing for this Love and I will tell you that the Father loves you with all His Divine nature, and is helping you to receive this Love into your soul, and you will soon receive it in such abundance that you will find yourself happy beyond all conception. And I love you too with all my heart and soul, and am very near you and try to make you feel my presence and influence. Rest assured that I am with you in all my love and tenderness and that you are the special object of my care and keeping. I wish that you could see me as I write this for I am filled with so much love for you, that I know, if you could see the glory of the Father displayed you would never again doubt my love. Oh, my brother, only try to get this Love by prayer and faith in such a way that it will become as real to you as anything which your natural senses show you to exist in the physical world.
It is more real than anything in all nature, and you have in you the possibilities of realizing that it is an existing thing, and is yours, if you will only pray and believe. I am with you in prayer at night, (Note: Mr. Padgett told me that when he was praying just before retiring at night, he sometimes saw Jesus alongside praying with him) and with all my love and faith I ask the Father to bless you and make you a true partaker of His Love and mercy, and to give you the assurance that
you will receive and know that you have it.
My dear brother I must stop now, but your longings tonight have been so great and so earnest that I could not stop without telling you as I have. And remember this that I, Jesus, with all the knowledge and authority that I possess, tell you that the Love of the Father shall be yours, and you will become a most happy man, and a power on earth in things spiritual and which pertain to the Father’s business.
So believe me and trust the Father, and you will not be forsaken or left alone, but will be surrounded by a host of witnessing angels that you are the chosen child of the Father, and the object of His Great Love and blessings.
I will not write more now, but I will say, that I love you as a true brother and friend, and even as a closer one to you; and you must believe, and yours will be the happiness that few on earth possess.
So with all the great love that is mine I will say good night and God bless you.

Great love of Jesus for Mr. Padgett. John Wesley said the glory and power was so wonderful they knelt in awe. (14 Dec 1915)
Let me write a word too, for I was present when the Master bestowed upon you his great love and prayed the Father to send into your soul the Love of the Father – the Divine Love – that will make you one with Him. And I must tell you that never before have we seen such love and glory displayed by the Master as he displayed tonight to you his love and blessings. Oh, I tell you that it was wonderful and we all stood, or rather knelt in awe, for we could not stand in his presence.
What does all this mean! None of us know for we have never received such evidence of love from him, and have never seen any one else receive the love in that way.
We commence to know how you must be a very important man to the Master, and you must be the special object of his love and care, for he seems to love you with a love that we cannot understand, although we have in our souls the Divine Love of the Father to a very great degree. But yet such love as he displayed tonight we have never seen and the meaning of it we cannot fully comprehend. Oh, I tell you that you are a blessed man, and you have with you not only the love and power of the greatest spirit in all God’s universe but also the Great Divine Love of the Father. So let us think of this wonderful experience before writing more. I will say good night.

Let me write while the power of the Master is here, and tell you that you have had a wonderful experience tonight, and so have we who have stood by and seen the Master write to you, and bestow upon you his great love.
He was glorious as he told you of the Great Love of the Father, that would come to you and how he would be with you in all his love and blessings trying to make you happy.
We were all surprised at the great display of his glory, for it was like the great shining light of God’s countenance of which we have heard, but never seen. You certainly are a blessed man and one that must become very happy.
I am not in condition to write more tonight, and can only praise God for the Great Love and favor that he has bestowed upon you. So my dear son believe what I have told you, and know that we all rejoice with you in the great favor which you have from the Master. So dear son, good night.

I AM YOUR OWN, Helen.
Well my dear Ned, I can scarcely write as I am so filled with awe over what has happened tonight that my power to write has almost left me.
But my darling I must tell you that you are very dear to the Master and a child of the Father’s Love to a very great degree. Such love, I never before saw displayed and I never expected to see it, especially bestowed upon you who are so dear to me.
I must not try to write more tonight as I am so filled with love and wonder and thankfulness that I can hardly think. So my own dear Ned, love me with all your heart and soul, and believe that I love you too. But when I think of this night and the great love that was bestowed upon you, my love seems like a mere shadow; but it is all that I have to give you, and I give all I have. I must add my testimony to the others who have preceded me, to the fact that the Master is now doing a great work for the redemption of mankind, and that through you he is going to transmit his great spiritual truths to sinful man.
I will not write much tonight, but say that in the future I will communicate my thoughts, which are the creatures of knowledge and experience in the Celestial Spheres of Christ’s Kingdom.
