Forma parte de un libro que es el segundo volumen de una recopilación concreta de los mensajes recibidos a principios del siglo XX por James E. Padgett de parte de varios desencarnados, entre otros, de Jesús de Nazaret.

Esteban – Dios puede ver, oír y conocer los pensamientos de los hombres (21 noviembre 1915)
Estoy aquí, Esteban.
Sólo quiero decir unas palabras.
En el momento de mi martirio, vi los cielos abiertos y los espíritus de los justos perfeccionados, así como ahora [so now], mediante la percepción de mi alma, puedo ver a mi Dios como un ser real y personal, lleno de Amor y misericordia.
Que nadie descanse en la certeza de que Dios es sólo un espíritu sin forma, sin los atributos de ver, oír y conocer los pensamientos y las acciones de los hombres y los espíritus, porque si así lo cree, entonces, en el momento de rendir cuentas, esa persona, en su falsa seguridad, se verá en un engaño.
Estoy en una condición de desarrollo espiritual como para conocer la gran verdad de que Dios es un Dios con una verdadera personalidad, y cuando digo esto no me refiero a la individualidad en el sentido en que tú eres un individuo. Sino que, lo que quiero decir con personalidad, es que todos estos atributos de Amor, poder, conocimiento y misericordia no constituyen a Dios, sino que meramente son una parte de Su ser y fluyen de Él en sus operaciones sobre los hombres, y, de hecho, sobre todas las cosas del universo.
No me extenderé en esta verdad, ya que ha sido explicada por quienes me precedieron, pero sí diré esto: que aunque un hombre con una mente finita no pueda comprender esta verdad, de ninguna manera se deduce que no sea una verdad, pues lo es, y en el gran futuro todo hombre que haya recibido el desarrollo álmico necesario aprenderá y conocerá esta verdad.
Esta noche no voy a escribir más, pero sí os diré: seguid buscando este gran desarrollo de vuestra alma, y no os veréis decepcionados a la hora de comprender y constatar que Dios es nuestro Padre, el del Maestro ─el Padre íntimo, personal y amoroso─.

Colyer, el predicador, presenta sus creencias; niega la trinidad (5 agosto 1915)
Estoy aquí, Colyer.
Yo era predicador. Ahora soy predicador, y mis doctrinas son las de Cristo, despojadas de los credos y dogmas de las iglesias.
No era un predicador ortodoxo, sino uno que creía en Dios y en Jesús como el hombre más espiritual y mejor que jamás haya vivido en la tierra, y que enseñaba las verdades de su Padre.
Sigo creyendo lo mismo, y desde que estoy en el mundo espiritual he aprendido muchas cosas que confirman mi creencia. La doctrina ortodoxa de que él es Dios o uno de los tres Dioses es perniciosa y contraria a toda razón y verdad. Él es exactamente quien dijo ser: el hijo de Dios y el hijo del hombre; el primero en sentido espiritual y el segundo en sentido material o natural.
Él nunca, como él me ha dicho, afirmó ser Dios, y sus discípulos nunca entendieron que fuera tal cosa. Que la mente humana se libre de esta doctrina acerca de su ser Dios, va a contribuir más a acercar a la humanidad a la verdad, y a creer en las verdades religiosas, de lo que se pueda concebir. Cuando se comprenda su verdadera misión en la tierra, los hombres se volverán hacia una verdadera adoración a Dios y a la creencia en las enseñanzas del Maestro, lo que para muchos resultará en la salvación de sus pecados, y en que la felicidad, la armonía y el amor fraternal se establezcan más firmemente en la tierra.
Soy un creyente en el Amor Divino y en el Nuevo Nacimiento, y un habitante de la séptima esfera, e intento progresar a las Esferas Celestiales.
No escribiré más esta noche, ya que estás cansado, pero volveré en algún momento.

Niega la expiación vicaria. La comunión espiritual era más frecuente en los días de San Juan que ahora. Si los hombres tuvieran fe como los apóstoles de Jesús, hoy existirían las sanaciones y los supuestos milagros (12 septiembre 1915)
Estoy aquí, Juan.
No te escribo como ‘San Juan’, porque no me llaman por ese nombre en los cielos espirituales, y te he escrito con tanta frecuencia que me identificarás cuando simplemente diga ‘Juan’.
Bueno, escuché lo que dijo el Maestro, y sólo puedo añadir que nunca escribí lo que se declara que prediqué acerca de que la sangre de Jesús salva del pecado, ni de que Jesús fuera propiciación por los pecados de la humanidad. Ni en mi Evangelio, ni en mis Epístolas, ni en el Apocalipsis escribí tal doctrina. Como te he dicho antes, muchas cosas contenidas en estos libros fueron escritas por otros para llevar a cabo ciertos planes e ideas de los escritores. Nunca dije que Jesús fuera Dios ni que fuera engendrado por el Espíritu Santo, ni que fuera igual a Dios, ni que salvara a un hombre del pecado por alguna cualidad personal que él pudiera tener.
Así que, permite que tu mente descarte estas falsas doctrinas y reciba las verdades que el Maestro va a escribir con una mente perfectamente imparcial, libre de toda idea preconcebida.

Quise decir que muchos espíritus intentarían comunicarse con el hombre e intentarían enseñar falsas doctrinas sobre Jesús y su misión.
Que los únicos espíritus capaces de transmitir la verdad y dignos de fe eran aquellos que reconocían que Jesús era el hijo de Dios tal como se te ha explicado. No que Jesús o Jesucristo fuera Dios. Sólo deben ser reconocidos aquellos espíritus que admitan a Jesús como Hijo de Dios, que hayan recibido el Nuevo Nacimiento y conozcan algo sobre el reino de Cristo, o sobre el don del Amor Divino del Padre, y la manera de obtenerlo, tal como Jesús lo enseñó. Todos los demás espíritus que no posean este conocimiento y, en consecuencia, no reconozcan a Jesús como hijo de Dios, aunque escuchen sus enseñanzas, no son considerados verdaderos seguidores de Jesús.
Esto no es nada misterioso ni contrario a las leyes que rigen la conducta o las creencias humanas. Si un espíritu, o un hombre, desconoce un tema determinado, ciertamente no puede enseñar a otros las cualidades o méritos de dicho tema; por lo tanto, yo estaba aplicando una ley ordinaria natural en cuanto a la manera en que los espíritus deben ser puestos a prueba. Pues ahora he de decirte ─y es una verdad, y lo era cuando escribí mi evangelio y mis epístolas, así como lo es ahora y siempre lo será─ que todo espíritu que reconoce que Jesús es el hijo de Dios es un espíritu redimido, ha recibido una porción del Amor Divino y está progresando en el reino que Jesús está ahora formando. Y cuando di esas instrucciones a mis hijos ·─tal como los llamaba─ quise que se comunicaran únicamente con aquellos espíritus u hombres que hubieran recibido este Nuevo Nacimiento.
Sé que todos los espíritus que han recibido este Amor Divino en abundancia son espíritus buenos, libres de pecado y error, y con el poder o la inclinación de influir en los mortales para que no pequen ni hagan nada contrario a la Voluntad del Padre; mientras que todos los demás espíritus podrían o no ejercer sobre los mortales la influencia del mal.
Por lo tanto, poned a prueba a los espíritus, y si no reconocen a Jesús como hijo de Dios, dejadlos en paz y no recibáis sus comunicaciones ni enseñanzas, porque no son creyentes en Cristo ni en el Nuevo Nacimiento.
Entre mis hijos o creyentes de la religión cristiana había muchas personas que tenían el poder o el don de comunicarse con los espíritus de los difuntos, y así lo hacían; y tales comunicaciones se daban a conocer al resto de la congregación y eran creídas por ellos. De ahí mi advertencia contra la comunión con aquellos espíritus que no creían en Cristo.
No debes pensar que esta es la única época en la que los espíritus se comunican con los mortales, pues debo decirte que en mi época era mucho más común que ahora; y, en nuestras congregaciones, durante los cultos y en otras reuniones, y a menudo en privado, teníamos estas comunicaciones.
Esta era una relevante parte de los servicios de nuestras reuniones, y nos mantenía en constante armonía con el poder del alma de aquellos que vivían en la forma espíritu, y de los cuales recibíamos poderes de sanación y de hacer el bien de muchas otras maneras.
En aquellos días, sanar a los enfermos y hacer cosas similares eran una parte muy importante de nuestra labor como cristianos. Creíamos en lo que Jesús nos había dicho en la tierra, y aumentamos nuestra fe y realizamos muchas obras que quienes no creían como nosotros consideraban milagros.
Para nosotros, sanar a los enfermos y hacer estas otras cosas era algo tan natural como comer y dormir. Te digo que nuestra fe entonces era una certeza. Poseíamos la Sustancia de la que habla Pablo, y esperábamos hacer tales cosas tal como esperábamos poder respirar y hacer el bien material a nuestros hermanos.
Pero después de unos pocos siglos, cuando los hombres entraron en la iglesia con otros propósitos que no eran recibir el Nuevo Nacimiento y hacer la voluntad del Padre, la fe ─como esta de la que hablo─ murió, y el poder para hacer estas cosas les fue arrebatado, y la iglesia se convirtió en una congregación de hombres que tan solo se dedicaban a la adoración de boquilla.
Y a lo largo de los siglos, desde entonces hasta ahora, este poder no ha acompañado a los hombres, excepto que, aquí y allá, ha aparecido algún verdadero creyente con una fe como la nuestra, y ha hecho cosas maravillosas.
Por eso, te digo: no permitas que lo que la Biblia diga acerca de que Jesús es Dios y posee esas otras cualidades con respecto a la salvación de los hombres, perturbe tus creencias sobre lo que el Maestro pueda escribirte.

Juan – El Reino se completará y la puerta del Reino Celestial se cerrará (15 marzo 1917) (mensaje repetido, ya aparecido en Vol. 1 ─y resaltado allí en letra negrita─)
De parte de Juan.
Somos Espíritus Celestiales del orden más elevado, pero este hecho no nos impide darnos cuenta de la necesidad de salvar al hombre, y aunque tengamos que venir a la Tierra para llevar a cabo esta salvación, trabajando y asociándonos con los espíritus del plano terrenal, se trata de una labor de amor, y la humildad es la piedra angular que nos aporta felicidad en nuestro trabajo.
No, estamos con vosotros a menudo y en estrecha asociación, y no seríamos compañeros de trabajo del Maestro si por un momento tuviéramos la sensación de que, debido a nuestra elevada condición, no deberíamos entrar en relación y asociación útil con los mortales pecadores; y nuestro trabajo va a continuar mientras el Padre requiera que se enseñen Sus grandes verdades y que se salven las almas de los hombres del efecto de la gran caída, y que se hagan Ángeles de la Divinidad. Pero algún día, tras el cierre del Reino Celestial, nuestro trabajo en la Tierra, así como en las esferas espirituales, cesará, y entonces nuestros hogares en las Esferas Celestiales serán nuestros únicos lugares de trabajo y amor.
El Reino se completará; la puerta del Reino Celestial será cerrada, y los obreros angelicales se separarán del hombre espiritual o perfecto. Tal es el decreto.
Y como el Padre desea que todos los hombres se aúnen con Él en Su Divinidad de Amor, debemos trabajar hasta que llegue el gran día de la consumación del Reino, y los espíritus que no tengan el «traje de boda» sufrirán la condenación de la segunda muerte (Nota: La segunda muerte: la pérdida y muerte del privilegio de obtener el Amor Divino).
Y cuando Jesús dijo: ‘Trabajad mientras es de día, porque la noche viene, cuando nadie puede trabajar’ [ref.], quiso decir que mientras el Reino esté abierto para que los hombres entren en él, debemos trabajar, porque cuando sus puertas se cierren, el trabajo de los obreros angelicales deberá cesar, y los hombres y los espíritus serán dejados [be left to] a una eternidad en las esferas espirituales.
Y así, trabajamos, y así debéis trabajar vosotros hasta el momento de la separación, y, como dijo el Maestro, se debe permitir que el trigo y la cizaña crezcan juntos hasta que llegue el gran momento de la cosecha.
Pero hasta entonces debemos mezclarnos, trabajar y orar sin cesar.

Stephen – God can see and hear and know what the thoughts of men are. (21 Nov 1915)
I AM HERE, Stephen.
I want to say only a word.
At the time of my martyrdom I saw the heavens opened and the spirits of the just made perfect, so now I can by my soul perceptions see my God as a real personal being, full of Love and mercy.
Let no man rest in the assurance that God is only a formless spirit, without the attributes of seeing and hearing and knowing what the thoughts and deeds of men and spirits are, for if he does, in the time of accounting, he will be deceived in his false security.
I am in a condition of soul development to know the great truth that God is a God of real personality, and when I say this I don’t mean individuality in the sense that you are an individual. But what I mean by personality is that all these attributes of Love and power and knowledge and mercy do not constitute God, but are merely a part of His being and flow from Him in their operations upon men, and in fact upon all the things of the universe.
I will not enlarge upon this truth, as it has been explained by those who preceded me, but I will say this, that because a man with a finite mind cannot understand this truth, it by no means follows that it is not a truth, for it is, and in the great future every man who has received the necessary soul development will learn and know this truth.
I will not write more tonight, but will say to you, continue to seek this great development of your soul, and you will not be disappointed in coming to the realization that God is our Father of the Master, the close personal and loving Father.

Colyer the preacher gives his beliefs; denies the trinity. (5 Aug 1915)
I AM HERE, Colyer.
I was a preacher. I am now a preacher and my doctrines are those of Christ stripped of the creeds and dogmas of the churches.
I was not an orthodox preacher, but was one who believed in God and in Jesus as the best and most spiritual man that ever lived on earth, and who taught the truths of his Father.
I am of the same belief still, and I have since being in the spirit world learned many things to confirm my belief. The orthodox doctrine as to his being God or one of three Gods is a pernicious one and against all reason and truth. He is just who he said he was – the son of God and the son of man – the first in a spiritual sense and the latter in the material or natural sense.
He never, as he has told me, claimed to be God, and his disciples never understood that he was such. The freedom of men’s minds from this doctrine of his being God, will do more to bring men to the truth and to believe in religious truths than can be conceived of. When his true mission on earth shall become understood, men will turn to the true worship of God, and to a belief in the teachings of the Master, which will result in many a one being saved from their sins, and in happiness and harmony and brotherly love being more firmly established on earth.
I am a believer in the Divine Love and the New Birth and am an inhabitant of the seventh sphere, and am trying to progress to the Celestial Spheres.
I will not write more tonight as you are tired, but will come again sometime.

Denies the vicarious atonement. Spirit communion was more prevalent in the days of St. John than now. If men would have faith like the Apostles of Jesus, healing and so-called miracles would exist today. (12 Sep 1915)
I AM HERE, John.
I do not write St. John, because I am not called by that name in the spirit heavens, and I have written you often enough now, that you will identify me when I merely write John.
Well, I heard what the Master said, and I can only add thereto, that I never wrote the things which declare that I preached that the blood of Jesus saves from sin or that Jesus was a propitiation for the sins of mankind. Neither in my Gospel nor in my Epistles nor in Revelation did I write such a doctrine. As I have told you before many things contained in these books were written by others to carry out certain plans and ideas of the writers. I never said that Jesus was God and that he was begotten by the Holy Ghost, or that he is equal with God, or that he saved a man from sin by reason of any personal qualities which he may have had.
So let your mind eliminate these false doctrines and receive the truths which the Master shall write with a perfectly unbiased mind, free from all preconceived ideas.
(Answer to question by Mr. Padgett follows:)
I meant that many spirits would try to communicate with man and attempt to teach false doctrines as to Jesus and his mission.
That the only spirits who were capable of conveying the truth, and worthy of belief were those who should acknowledge that Jesus was the son of God in the way that it has been explained to you. Not that Jesus or Jesus Christ was God. Only those spirits who acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God and have received the New Birth, and know anything about the kingdom of Christ, or of the gift of the Divine Love of the Father, and the way to obtain it, as taught by Jesus, should be acknowledged. All other spirits who have not this knowledge, and consequently would not acknowledge Jesus as the son of God, who should hear his teachings, is not to be trusted as being true followers of Jesus.
This is nothing mysterious or contrary to the laws governing the conduct or beliefs of men. If a spirit, or man either, knows nothing about a certain subject he certainly cannot teach others its qualities or merits, and, hence, I was applying an ordinary law of nature to the way in which spirits should be tried. For I must tell you now, and it is a truth, and was a truth at the time I wrote my gospel and epistles, just as it is a truth now, and always will remain a truth, that every spirit who acknowledges that Jesus is the son of God is a redeemed spirit, and has received a portion of the Divine Love, and is progressing in the kingdom which Jesus is now forming. And when I gave those instructions to my children, as I called them, I intended that their communications should be only with those spirits or men who had received this New Birth.
I know that all the spirits who have received this Divine Love in sufficient abundance are good spirits, free from sin and error and (with) the power or inclination to influence mortals not to sin or to do anything which is contrary to the Will of the Father, while all the other spirits may or may not exercise upon mortals the influence of evil.
Hence, try the spirits, and if they do not acknowledge Jesus as the son of God, let them alone, and do not receive their communications or teachings, because they are not believers in Christ and the New Birth.
Among my children or believers in the Christian religion were many persons who had the power or gift of communicating with the spirits of the departed, and did so communicate; and such communications were made known to the rest of the congregation and believed by them. And hence, my injunction against communion with those spirits who were not believers in Christ.
You must not think that this is the only age in which spirits communicate with mortals, for I must tell you that in my time it was much more common than now; and in our congregations when worshipping and when in our other gatherings, and often in private, we had these communications.
This was an important part of the services of our meetings, and one that kept us in constant harmony with the soul power of those who lived in the spirit form, and from whom we received powers of healing and of doing good in many other ways.
In those days healing the sick and doing kindred things were a very important part of our work as Christians. We believed what Jesus had told us on earth, and we increased our faith and performed many works, which the people who did not believe as we did, thought were miracles.
To us the healing of the sick and the doing of these other things were just as natural as eating and sleeping. I tell you that our faith then was a certainty. We possessed the Substance that Paul speaks of, and we expected to do the things just as we expected to breathe and be able to do material good to our brothers.
But after a few centuries, when men came into the church for other purposes than to receive the New Birth and do the will of the Father, faith, such as I speak of, died, and the power to do these things was taken away from men, and the church became a congregation of men having the mere lip worship.
And all through the centuries from then until now, this power has not been with men, except that here and there some true believer with a faith such as we had has appeared, and done wonderful things.
So I say, let not what the Bible may say about Jesus being God and having those other qualities with reference to the salvation of men, disturb you in your beliefs in what the Master may write you.

John – The Kingdom will be completed, and the door of the Heavenly Kingdom closed. (15 Mar 1917)
From John.
We are Celestial Spirits of the highest order, but that fact does not prevent us from realizing the necessity for the salvation of man, and even though we have to come to earth to bring about this salvation in work and association with the spirits of the earth plane, yet it is a labor of love, and humility is the touchstone that brings to us happiness in our work.
No, we are with you often and in close association, and we would not be fellow workers with the Master, if for one moment we should have the feeling that, because of our high estate we should not come in rapport and helpful association with sinful mortals, and so long as the Father requires His great truths to be taught and men’s souls saved from the effect of the great fall, and made angels of Divinity, our work will continue. But sometime after the Celestial Kingdom is closed, our work on earth, as well as in the spirit spheres will cease, and then our homes in the Celestial Spheres will be our only places of labor and love.
The kingdom will be completed – the door of the Heavenly Kingdom closed, and the angelic hosts become separated from the spiritual or perfect man. Such is the decree.
And as the Father desires all men to become at-one with Him in His Divinity of Love, we must work until the great day of the consummation of the Kingdom arrives, and spirits who have not on the «wedding garments» shall suffer the doom of the second death (Note: second death: the loss and death of the privilege of obtaining the Divine Love). And when Jesus said, «Work while it is day, for the night cometh when no man can work,» he meant that while the Kingdom is open for men to enter we must work, for when its doors shall be closed the work of the angelic laborer must cease, and men and spirits be left to an eternity in the spiritual spheres.
And so we work, and so must you work until the time of separation, and as the Master said, the wheat and the tares must be permitted to grow together until the great time of the harvesting shall take place.
But until then we must mingle and work and pray without ceasing.
