El tema es el infierno, aunque en este caso y en el de otros mensajes de este apartado, se tratan las cosas de modo que podríamos decir que sólo indirectamente tienen que ver con la condición álmica que llamamos «infierno» (esas partes más bajas de la primera esfera).

Estoy aquí, George Whitefield.
Fui predicador de Inglaterra y contemporáneo de John Wesley. Estoy en las Esferas Celestiales, donde solo se encuentran quienes han recibido el Nuevo Nacimiento, del que han escrito otros espíritus más antiguos.
Solo quiero decir que sigo siendo seguidor de Jesús, pero con un conocimiento ligeramente diferente acerca de lo que él fue y es. Ya no lo considero Dios, ni una parte de Dios, sino Su verdadero hijo, y el más grande de todos los espíritus del mundo espiritual. No hay nadie comparable a él en belleza, espiritualidad ni en su conocimiento de las verdades de Dios.
Yo solía predicar a miles sobre su expiación vicaria y su sacrificio de sangre, pero ahora veo su misión desde una perspectiva diferente. No es su muerte en la cruz lo que salva a los hombres de sus pecados, ni su sacrificio lo que apacigua la ira de un Dios airado, sino que son su vida y sus enseñanzas sobre el Amor Divino otorgado a la humanidad y el camino para obtener ese Amor, lo que salva a los hombres de sus pecados. No había necesidad de apaciguar la ira de un Dios airado, pues no existía ningún Dios así, sino solo un Dios amoroso y misericordioso; y cuando los hombres piensan que, a menos que se arrepientan de sus pecados, arderán eternamente en un infierno de fuego, son víctimas de predicadores como yo y jamás obtendrán el Amor del Padre mediante tales enseñanzas. Dios es Amor, y los hombres deben saberlo, y Su Amor es para todos, de toda raza y clima.
Ahora veo el gran error que cometí en mi concepción de Dios y de la misión de Cristo en la tierra, y cuánto daño les hice a los mortales con mi predicación y cómo calumnié al Padre de amor. Pero fui honesto en mis creencias y enseñé según mi criterio; sin embargo, eso no altera el hecho de que muchos mortales, tras convertirse en espíritus, sufrieron un largo retraso en su progreso espiritual debido a estas falsas creencias, las cuales, para progresar, tuvieron que abandonar y comenzar de nuevo en sus esfuerzos por encontrar las verdades de Dios.
Y así como trabajé arduamente y prediqué con elocuencia para que los mortales creyeran en estas doctrinas injuriosas mientras estuve en la tierra, ahora trabajo arduamente y predico con elocuencia para que los espíritus que llegan con estas creencias las desaprendan y vean la verdad tal como es.
Simpatizo con el movimiento que el Maestro está impulsando para difundir la verdad de estas cosas espirituales en la tierra, y estoy dispuesto a seguirlo en todos sus esfuerzos por lograr la salvación de los hombres no solo del pecado, sino también de las creencias erróneas.
Por eso vengo a ti esta noche para expresarte mi simpatía e interés en la causa.
Que tu obra prosiga, y esfuérzate por dar a conocer a los hombres las grandes verdades que el Maestro enseñará. Todos nos uniremos a la obra y haremos todo lo posible para acelerar la gran causa de la redención del hombre del pecado y la ignorancia.
El hombre debe desarrollar su alma obteniendo el Amor Divino, pues no se puede inspirar a un hombre a predicar grandes y sublimes verdades espirituales a menos que tenga la capacidad en su propia alma de sentirlas y comprenderlas.

Cómo toda la humanidad puede convertirse en ángeles divinos y cómo las creencias erróneas impiden esta consumación (Ann Rollins – Espíritu Celestial) (28 mayo 1916)
Estoy aquí, tu abuela.
Esta noche te contaré una verdad que podría interesarte, y sé que es importante para todos aquellos que anhelan la felicidad en la vida futura.
Como sabes, me encuentro ahora en las Esferas Celestiales, en un lugar superior a la tercera Esfera Celestial, donde no existen líneas de demarcación especiales que lo separen de lo que podríais llamar los planos superiores.
En mi plano, los habitantes son aquellos que han recibido el Amor Divino en sus almas hasta tal punto que saben que son de una naturaleza que es Divina y que está aunada con la naturaleza del Padre [in at-onement with that of the Father]. Por supuesto, quienes han entrado en la primera Esfera Celestial tienen el conocimiento de haber participado de la naturaleza divina, pero no están tan llenos de este amor como nosotros, que vivimos en la esfera en la que me encuentro.
No me es posible describirte la magnitud de nuestra felicidad, porque no tenéis palabras en vuestro idioma que puedan transmitir ni una vaga idea de esta felicidad, y no intentaré describirla; pero aunque combinarais todas las emociones de alegría y felicidad que habéis recibido o experimentado a lo largo de vuestros años de vida, no podríais comprender en lo más mínimo el significado de nuestra felicidad.
Simplemente relato esta verdad para mostrarte a ti y a toda la humanidad lo que os resulta posible alcanzar, a ti y a ellos, si tan solo seguís el camino que el Padre ha provisto, y que el Maestro os ha señalado en sus mensajes.
El gran instrumento que causa esta gran felicidad es el amor, y con esto me refiero al Amor Divino del que tantas veces hemos escrito, y sin el cual es imposible que un alma alcance esta condición o se convierta en moradora de los Ámbitos Celestiales.
El hombre, tal como se os ha instruido, no fue creado con este Amor, y solo pudo obtenerlo ejerciendo sus propios anhelos y aspiraciones según lo dispuesto por el Padre; de ninguna otra manera podrían cumplirse estos deseos de este amor. Pero la gran lástima es que los primeros de la raza humana declinaron, o mejor dicho, se negaron a seguir este camino, creyéndose lo suficientemente sabios como para conocer uno mejor; y al intentar seguirlo, provocaron su propia caída y la pérdida del privilegio de obtener este Amor. Y en todos los largos años hasta la venida de Jesús, ningún hombre, después del primero creado, tuvo este privilegio, y por lo tanto, no les fue posible encontrar mayor felicidad que la que pudiera provenir de su amor natural.
Con la venida de Jesús, los hombres recibieron de nuevo este gran privilegio, y la posibilidad de conocer cómo ejercerlo. Esto no fue anunciado a todos, pues el territorio donde Jesús enseñó y proclamó esta importante verdad era muy limitado, y la gran mayoría de la gente murió sin saber que este don se había vuelto a conceder. Pero Dios, en Su bondad y amor, no restringió la concesión de este amor a quienes tuvieran la fortuna de aprenderlo de Jesús y sus apóstoles, sino que envió a su Espíritu Santo para implantarlo en las almas de todos aquellos que se encontraran en tal estado de aspiración y anhelo espiritual que permitieran que este Amor entrara en ellas.
Cuando los espíritus adquirieron este conocimiento, comenzaron la labor de intentar influir en los hombres de tal manera que surgió en ellos un anhelo de una unidad más estrecha con Dios y una apertura de las percepciones del alma. Y como resultado de ello, muchos hombres, en diversas partes del mundo, recibieron este Amor en sus almas sin saber que era este Amor Divino. Pero lo era, y cuando estos hombres en sus formas espirituales entraron al mundo espiritual, pronto descubrieron que, hasta cierto punto, estaban dotados de este Amor, y no les fue difícil escuchar las explicaciones y enseñanzas de aquellos espíritus que lo habían recibido, en cuanto a la verdad de su existencia.
Ahora bien, todo esto puede no parecer de gran importancia para el hombre actual, y apenas merecedor de atención por su parte, pero mi gran objetivo al escribir de esta manera es mostrar que Dios no tenía un pueblo especial ni peculiar, y que ni siquiera era necesario que todos los pueblos aprendieran de Jesús la existencia de este don, pues en tal caso, la gran mayoría de la humanidad no podría haber oído hablar de este Amor mientras aún eran mortales. No, esto no era una necesidad, pero el conocimiento que llegó a los mortales a través de Jesús les permitió, a quienes lo poseían y creían, buscar con mayor facilidad el camino para obtener este Amor.
Muchos espíritus habían recibido el beneficio de la restitución de este Amor, o más bien el privilegio de buscarlo y obtenerlo, antes de que Jesús viniera al mundo espiritual; sin embargo, comprendían que la mayor extensión de la posesión de este Amor estaba en Jesús; y ningún espíritu lo posee ahora en la medida en que él lo posee.
Pero ya sea que las almas de los mortales o de los espíritus recibieran el conocimiento de esta verdad de parte de Jesús o bien de parte de la obra del Espíritu Santo en sus ministerios, todos saben que buscar y obtener este Amor Divino es el único medio por el cual el alma puede llegar a ser habitante de los Ámbitos Celestiales.
Reconozco que lo que he escrito contradice la creencia ortodoxa de que solo mediante la muerte y la sangre de Jesús los hombres pueden salvarse de sus pecados y convertirse en hijos de Dios y en uno con Él.
Si esta creencia fuera cierta, entonces por el sacrificio de Jesús todos los hombres serían salvos, independientemente de si obtenían este Amor Divino, o bien solo se salvarían aquellos que hubieran oído hablar de Jesús y lo hubieran aceptado como su salvador. Ninguna de estas proposiciones es cierta, pues sin que este Amor Divino entre en el alma de un hombre, le sería imposible participar de la naturaleza divina del Padre y ser apto para ocupar un hogar en las Esferas Celestiales. Este amor en el alma, ya sea resultado de la obra de los espíritus ministradores de Dios, que provoca un verdadero anhelo en el alma, en conjunción con el Espíritu Santo, hace al hombre de naturaleza divina y un hijo redimido de Dios. [aquí, el «ya sea» está así en el original, pareciendo faltar la alternativa, que vimos antes que era el hecho de que Jesús lo puede «contar» directamente… pero se entiende]
Ahora bien, de lo que he dicho no debe inferirse que la misión de Jesús y su obra en la tierra y en el mundo espiritual no sean los grandes logros relacionados con la redención del hombre, pues lo son. No fue hasta la venida de Jesús que este Gran Don fue reotorgado, y no fue hasta que él declaró este hecho y enseñó la Gran Verdad del Nuevo Nacimiento que ni los mortales ni los espíritus pudieron recibir este privilegio. Los espíritus ministradores no podían influir en las almas de los hombres para que buscaran la afluencia de este Amor Divino hasta que primero lo recibieran ellos mismos y comprendieran su existencia; y aquí permíteme declarar un hecho: cuando Jesús predicó a los mortales en la tierra la necesidad del Segundo Nacimiento, miríadas de seres espirituales escucharon estas enseñanzas y adquirieron este conocimiento.
Y hoy, los hombres son acompañados por huestes de espíritus de todo tipo, y los dichos y enseñanzas de los hombres son escuchados por más espíritus que hombres, y la influencia de tales enseñanzas tiene su efecto tanto en los espíritus como en los hombres, pues los espíritus de los hombres que existen en los planos terrenales son sustancialmente los mismos que eran cuando estaban en la tierra, y un amigo terrenal con frecuencia tiene más influencia sobre ellos que otros espíritus, sin importar cuán elevada sea su condición.
Me alegra mucho poder escribirte de nuevo y hacerte saber que no te he abandonado.
Estoy contigo muy a menudo y trato de ayudarte. Ora más al Padre y ejercita más la fe, y crecerás en el desarrollo del alma y la felicidad.

Lo que Jesús quiso decir cuando dijo: «El que vive y cree en mí, nunca morirá» (Jesús) (15 agosto 1915)
Estoy aquí, Jesús.
Esta noche estuve contigo en la reunión de los cristianos y vi que pensabas en varias cosas que yo había escrito, y querías comunicarle mis verdades al predicador; pero, por supuesto, no pudiste. Tomó un texto de la Biblia que se me atribuye haber pronunciado, y así lo hice, pero no significaba exactamente lo que él explicó. Cuando dije «el que vive y cree en mí, nunca morirá» [ref.], quise decir que el hombre cuya alma no estuviera muerta en pecado y creyera en las verdades que declaré ─es decir, que el Amor Divino de Dios esperaba entrar en su alma y llenarla con su esencia y sustancia, y que el hombre, por la fe, recibía ese Amor Divino─ nunca moriría. Es decir, se volvería inmortal como Dios es inmortal.
La mera creencia en mí como Jesús el hombre, o como el hijo de Dios, no basta para dar vida eterna a nadie. Pues aunque sí que debe creer que fui enviado por el Padre para proclamar la Gran Verdad de que Él había otorgado al hombre la posibilidad de obtener este Amor Divino mediante sus oraciones y fe, a menos que subsane [relieved] esto y se convierta en poseedor de este Amor Divino, jamás podrá reclamar la vida eterna.
Ojalá el predicador prestara más atención a las verdades que enseñé ─es decir, aquellas que mostraron a los hombres el amor del Padre que espera ser otorgado y el camino para obtenerlo─ que a mi personalidad.
Yo, Jesús, como hijo del hombre o de Dios, no salvo a nadie de sus pecados ni lo hago uno con el Padre, sino que las Verdades que enseñé, y que me fueron enseñadas por el Padre, son las que salvan.
Conozco el intento del predicador de explicar estas cosas con la Biblia, tal como él entiende esa luz, pero a menudo se oscurece tanto que, en lugar de predicar desde la luz, predican desde la oscuridad.
Por estas razones, entre otras, estoy tan ansioso por compartir mis enseñanzas sobre estas Verdades, para que el mundo sepa qué es la Verdad y qué debe hacer cada persona para obtener la vida eterna o Inmortalidad.
Sé que anhelas realizar esta obra y que tu alma anhela la afluencia de este Gran Amor y el disfrute de una comunión íntima con el Padre. Así que mantén tu valentía y confía en el Padre, y pronto se acabarán tus preocupaciones.

Changed His Erroneous Beliefs That He Taught on Earth and is Now in the Celestial Heavens (George Whitefield – Preacher of England and a Contemporary With John Wesley) (8 Aug 1915)
I AM HERE. George Whitefield.
I was a preacher of England and a contemporary of John Wesley. I am in the Celestial Spheres where are only those who have received the New Birth that has been written about by other and more ancient spirits.
I merely want to say that I am still a follower of Jesus, but a little different in my knowledge of what he was and is. I do not now look upon him as God, or a part of God, but as His true son, and the greatest of all the spirits in the spirit world. There are none to be compared to him in beauty or spirituality or in his knowledge of God’s truths.
I used to preach to thousands about his vicarious atonement and his blood sacrifice, but now I see his mission in a different light. it is not his death on the cross that saves men from their sins, nor his sacrifice that appeases the wrath of an angry God, but his life and teachings of the Divine Love bestowed on mankind and the way to obtain that Love, that saves men from their sins. There was no need to appease the wrath of an angry God for there was no angry God, only a Loving and Merciful God; and when men think that unless they turn from their sins they will be forever burned in a fiery hell, they are the dupes of preachers such as I was and will never get the Love of the Father by such teachings. God is Love, and men must know it – and His Love is for all of every race and clime.
I see now, what a great mistake I made in my conception of God and of Christ’s mission on earth, and how much harm I did to mortals in my preaching and how I slandered the Father of love. But I was honest in my beliefs and taught as I thought the truth to be, yet that does not alter the fact that many a mortal after he became a spirit, was retarded for a long time in his spiritual progress, because of these false beliefs, which in order to progress he had to give up and start anew in his efforts to find the truths of God.
And as I worked hard and preached eloquently to make mortals believe these injurious doctrines while on earth, so now I am working hard and preaching eloquently to make spirits who come over with these beliefs, unlearn them and see the truth as it is.
I am in sympathy with the movement which the Master is now making to spread the truth of these spiritual things on earth and am ready to follow him in all his efforts to bring about the salvation of men not only from sin but from erroneous beliefs.
So I come to you to-night to express my sympathy and interest in the cause.
Let your work proceed, and do your best to make known to men the great truths which the Master shall teach. We will all join in the work and do everything in our power to speed the great cause of men’s redemption from sin and ignorance.
The man must have the soul development by obtaining the Divine Love, because you cannot inspire a man to preach grand and sublime spiritual truths unless he has the capacity in his own soul to feel and understand the truths.
I will not write longer to-night.

How All Mankind Can Become Divine Angels and How Erroneous Beliefs Prevent This Consummation (Ann Rollins – Celestial Spirit) (28 May 1916)
I AM HERE. Your Grandmother.
I will tell you to-night of a truth that may be of interest to you, and I know that it is of importance to all who may long for happiness in the future life.
As you know, I am now in the Celestial Spheres, in a place higher than the third Celestial Sphere, and where are no special lines of demarcation separating it from what you may call the higher planes.
In my plane, the inhabitants are those who have received the Divine Love in their souls to an extent that makes them know that they are of a nature that is Divine and in at-onement with that of the Father. Of course, those who have entered the first Celestial Sphere have the knowledge of having partaken of the divine nature, but they are not so filled with this love as we are who live in the sphere that I am in.
It is not possible for me to tell you of the extent of our happiness, because you have no words in your language that can possibly convey a faint conception of this happiness, and I will not attempt to describe it; but if you will combine all the emotions of joy and happiness which you have received or experienced in all the years of your life, you would not be able to realize the meaning of our happiness in the faintest degree.
I merely recite this truth to show to you and all mankind what is possible for you and them to obtain, if you will only pursue the course that the Father has provided, and the Master has pointed out in his messages to you.
The great instrument that causes this great happiness is love, and by this I mean the Divine Love of which we have so often written, and without which it is impossible for a soul to obtain this condition or to become a dweller in the Celestial Heavens.
Man, as you have been instructed, was not created with this Love, and could only obtain it by his own longings and aspirations being exercised in the way that the Father had provided – in no other way could these desires for this love be realized. But the great pity is that the first of the human race declined or rather refused to pursue this way, and thought that they were wise enough to know a better way; and in attempting to pursue this way brought about their own fall and the loss of the privilege of obtaining this Love; and in all the long years until the coming of Jesus, no man, after the first created, had the privilege, and hence, it was not possible for them to find any greater happiness than that which might come from their natural love.
At the coming of Jesus, men again had bestowed upon them this great privilege, and a possibility of the knowledge of the way in which the privilege could be exercised. This was not declared to all men, for the territory in which Jesus taught and proclaimed this important truth was very limited, and the great majority of men died without knowing that this gift had been rebestowed. But God in His goodness and love did not restrict the bestowal of this love to those who might be fortunate enough to learn of it from Jesus and his apostles, but sent His Holy Spirit to implant it in the souls of all men who might be in such condition of soul aspiration and longing as to permit this Love to enter their souls.
When spirits became possessed of this knowledge they commenced the work of trying to influence men in such a way that there arose in them a longing for a closer unity with God, and an opening up of the soul perceptions, and as a result many men, in various parts of the world, received this Love in their souls without knowing that it was this Divine Love; but it was, and when these men in their spirit forms entered the spirit world, they soon found that, to some extent, they were possessed of this Love, and it was not difficult for them to listen to the explanations and teachings of of those spirits who had received it, as to the truth of its existence.
Now all this may not appear to be of much importance to present man, and hardly worth attention, but my great object in writing in this manner is to show that God had no special or peculiar people, and that it was not even necessary that all peoples should learn from Jesus the fact of this gift, for in such a case, the great majority of mankind could not possibly have heard of this Love while they were yet mortals. No, this was not a necessity, but the knowledge which came to mortals through Jesus enabled them, who possessed it and believed, to the more readily pursue the way to obtaining this Love.
Many spirits had received the benefit of the rebestowal of this Love, or rather the privilege of seeking for and obtaining it, before Jesus came to the spirit world, yet they understood that the greater extent of the possession of this Love was in Jesus; and no spirit now possesses it to the degree that he does.
But whether the souls of mortals or spirits received the knowledge of this truth from Jesus or from the workings of the Holy Spirit in its ministrations, they all know that the seeking for and getting this Divine Love are the only means by which the soul may become an inhabitant of the Celestial Heavens.
I realize that what I have written conflicts with the orthodox belief that it is only through the death and blood of Jesus that men can be saved from their sins and become children of God and at one with Him.
If this belief were true, then by Jesus’ sacrifice all men would he saved, irrespective of their obtaining this Divine Love, or only those would be saved who had heard of Jesus and accepted him as their saviour. Neither of these propositions is true, for without this Divine Love entering into the soul of a man, it would be impossible for him to partake of the divine nature of the Father, and become fitted to occupy a home in the Celestial Spheres. This love in the soul, whether it is a result of the workings of God’s ministering spirits, causing a real soul longing, in conjunction with the Holy Spirit, makes the man of a nature divine, and a redeemed child of God.
Now from what I have said it must not be inferred that the mission of Jesus, and his work on earth and in the spirit world are not the great things connected with man’s redemption, for they are. It was not until Jesus’ coming that this Great Gift was rebestowed, and it was not until his declaring this fact and teaching the Great Truth of the New Birth could either mortals or spirits receive this privilege. The ministering spirits could not influence the souls of men to seek for the inflowing of this Divine Love until they had first received it themselves, and understood its existence; and here let me declare a fact, that when Jesus preached to mortals on earth the necessity for the Second Birth, myriads of spirit beings heard these teachings and became possessed of this knowledge.
And to-day, men are attended by hosts of spirits of all kinds, and the sayings and teachings of men are heard by more spirits than men, and the influence of such teachings has its effect upon spirits as upon men, for the spirits of men which are existing in the earth planes are the same spirits substantially, that they were when on earth, and an earthly friend frequently has more influence upon them than do other spirits no matter how high their condition may be.
I am so happy to be able to write you again, and let you know that I have not forsaken you.
I am with you quite often and am trying to help you. Pray more to the Father, and exercise more faith and you will grow in soul development and happiness.

What Jesus Meant When He Said – «He That Liveth and Believeth on Me Shall Never Die» (Jesus) (15 Aug 1915)
I AM HERE. Jesus.
I was with you to-night at the meeting of the Christians, and saw that you were thinking of several things that I had written, and wanted to tell the preacher of my truths – but of course you could not. He took a text from the Bible which I am credited with having uttered, and I did, but it did not mean exactly what he explained it to mean. When I said «he that liveth and believeth on me shall never die,» I meant that the man whose soul was not dead in sin and believed the truths that I declared, that is that God’s Divine Love was waiting to enter into and fill his soul with its essence and substance, and that man by faith received that Divine Love, he should never die. That is he would become immortal as God is immortal.
No mere belief in me as Jesus the man, or as the son of God, is sufficient to give a man eternal life, for while he must believe that I was sent by the Father to proclaim the Great Truth that he had again bestowed on man the possibility of obtaining this Divine Love by his prayers and faith, yet, unless he relieved this and became the possessor of this Divine Love, he could never claim eternal life.
I wish that the preacher would pay more attention to the truths that I taught, that is, those truths which showed men the Father’s love waiting to be bestowed and the way to obtain it, than, to my personality.
I, Jesus, as the son of man or of God, do not save any man from his sins and make him at one with the Father, but the Truths which I taught, and which were taught me by the Father, are things that save.
I know the preacher’s attempt to explain these things by the Bible as he understands that light, but it is so often obscured that instead of preaching from light they preach from darkness.
For these reasons, among others, I am so anxious to deliver to you my teachings of these Truths, that the world may know what Truth is; and what the individual must do in order to obtain eternal life or Immortality.
I know that you are anxious to do this work, and that your soul is trying for the inflowing of this Great Love and the enjoyment of a close communion with the Father. So keep up your courage and trust in the Father, and the end of your worries will soon cease.
